Trying to remember it all…

I had intentions of doing one of those ‘Year in Review’ entries…But yeah…Haven’t managed that beyond thought.

In short…
1.) I started last year alone…No Mum, no Critters…It sucked.
I started this year with Mum and both Critters to home…So much better.

2.) I lost a friend, because, apparently, his wife is a jealous type person.
She snooped on his Facebook, didn’t like that we were talking, didn’t like what I had to say…Which was basically he should do what made him happy, and if being with her was making him miserable, perhaps it wasn’t the best. He was the one that came to me, asking if I thought he should leave. But, I get to be the bad guy in it because I stated my general opinion.
*shrugs* Whatever, I really don’t care. Had I cared…I would have replied to her nasty message on Facebook with the simple fact that, I already had her husband once, and I didn’t want to keep him…If I had wanted him, I would still have him.
Me & wives/girlfriends apparently just don’t get along.

3.) I pushed myself beyond my comfort limits, as far as driving goes.
Ever since the car accident (Oct. 17, 2009, when I took Reese down to Muskegon)…I refused to drive any further South than Cadillac (about 60 miles).
After Wasil’s surgery, I drove down not once, but twice, to see him…Down to St. Louis MI…About 2 1/2 hours of driving (can’t remember the mileage off hand).

4.) I re-found a friend…Which I really need to do a bit more about. Just by really twisted chance, I ended up in the same store (then same isle), as a girl I went to school with when I was pregnant with Dominic. We lost touch over 15 yeas ago…I had intentions of meeting up with her over break, but that scheduling just didn’t happen.

& really…I think those are the main points.

Today…
Sonja needed a phone card, so the two of us went to Gaylord to pick up one, and a few other odds & ends that we needed.
I had decided that I was going to use my gift card from my father & just get the money for it from the checking…As I couldn’t find anything in the store I wanted.
Got up to the counter, rang everything up, went to get out the debit card…It wasn’t there. [Which is one more reason I’m thankful that most of the time I use the self-check outs…As if I had to go through all of this at a normal register, I may have died of embaresement.]
Sooo…I used my gift card, not enough…Used what money I had left over that Mr. Burton sent for the Critters for Xmas, still not enough…Used what was left (about half) of Harley’s gift card from grandpa, still not quite enough…Sonja (amazingly) had some left on her gift card, so had to use like $1.42 off her card…Paid. *sigh of relief*
But instead of letting it get to me, I choose to focus on the fact that I did manage to have what I needed at the moment to cover it…So it was all good. *smiles*

On a seperate note…I was dressed as Maria as last year ended & this year began…& while I went shopping with Sonja today.

Mum took the New Year’s Eve picture last night. Harley took the picture I’m sharing from today. He took four really good pictures, and a couple blurry ones.

Okay…As I don’t really do the resolution thing…I decided to do something else. *nods*
I know what I am doing something creative it helps me keep in good spirits & feel better…So I decided to do something along those lines.
My goal is to create a piece of art a day for the entire year. So, I should have (at least) 365 new pieces of art by this time next year.
Any medium is open, from drawing to plushies…So yeah…Anything I can think of. *smiles*
In connection with that, I have created a diary here on OD to post my work for each day. Coyote Creations will document my art adventure.

awesome I think it’s a very good idea about the art thing. 🙂 I think it’s cool that you ran into an old friend. Do you have any plans to meet up again when during the brake didn’t work out?

That first pic is awesome. 🙂 Can’t wait to see what all you create! Light of heart,

yay pictures and having money and having a goal for this year! 😀

I can’t sleep, so, naturally, I’m on OD! Anyway, I’m glad that you had a good start to the New Year. You look very lovely in your pictures. You look very healthy & confident. 🙂 I added your art diary to my friends list. ♥
