Thrusday seemed like Friday all day.
*falls over* I’m tired…
Got Sonja’s dressed finished…Yay! Though now I have a couple spots where I need to fix the one seam…I hate this material, I swear. *threatens it with a pair of scissors*
Took Sonja to the dance. Had her pay. I wanted to leave…She started to cry…I had to stay so she would stay. Joy. *headdesk* *laughs*
The first hour actually passed a lot quicker than I thought…Part of that time texting back and forth with Grim…And getting laughed at by Grim. The boy is EVIL I swear. *laughs* Taking joy in my agony. Then about 7:30 one of the girl’s there decided that I could dance with her…O.o Then she wouldn’t let me go! *runs screaming* I did manage to escape a couple times…But she decided she like to get spun around so her feet came up off the floor…So I spent some time dizzy, and when I nearly collapsed, she decided she could drag me around the floor. Still…I suppose it was funny. Then her old sister decided I could spin her around too! This on top of a variety of children coming to me to beg money…Do I look like a bank? Not counting Sonja’s $2.50 to get in, I ended up spending another $10.00! It would of only been five…But this one girl, who looked like she was near collapsing, said she hadn’t had anything to eat since school…So I took pity on the poor thing…And Sonja’s friend Justine was right there too, begging for pizza money…So that’s where $3.00 went…Sonja was buying candy, and got a pop.
I also let one of the girl’s there borrow my cell phone to call home, as she was having trouble with another girl there picking on her, and didn’t want to be there anymore.
The first paragraph of my last entry mentions having questions. Despite me being a bit stubborn last night about wanting to ask them…They got asked anyway. *smiles* And though I was afraid to ask them at first…And the rest of the emotions/mentalness/etc. that came out with it had me quite worried. I’m glad I was given the opportunity to ask, and given the answers…I think I did need them. It made me feel better about how things went…How things are. I’ve had good moments…And I’m hoping that this is more than just that. I’m hoping this is what I needed to do what I needed to do. I’m feeling better about it all in the long run currently.
*is stuffing self full of doughnuts* And once I’m done there, I’ll be moving on to Cheez-Its, and pretzels…As I seemingly have the overwhelming need to eat. [Is incredibly thankful for high metabolism…If it ever goes…I’ll be in so much trouble.]
[zvezda], formally [echo], has reminded me, I have yet to name the city where my NaNoWriMo story takes place! Ahhhh! I have less than a week, and a few things to sort out yet.
Got this in an e-mail. [Have seen it a couple times…Just felt like sharing it.]
One day, when I was a freshman in high school, I saw a kid from my class was walking home from school. His name was Kyle. It looked like he was carrying all of his books. I thought to myself, "Why would anyone bring home all his books on a Friday? He must really be a nerd." I had quite a weekend planned (parties and a football game with my friends tomorrow afternoon), so I shrugged my shoulders and went on. As I was walking, I saw a bunch of kids running toward him. They ran at him, knocking all his books out of his arms and tripping him so he landed in the dirt. His glasses went flying, and I saw them land in the grass about ten feet from him. He looked up and I saw this terrible sadness in his eyes My heart went out to him. So, I jogged over to him as he crawled around looking for his glasses, and I saw a tear in his eye. As I handed him his glasses, I said, "Those guys are jerks. " They really should get lives. " He looked at me and said, "Hey thanks!" There was a big smile on his face. It was one of those smiles that showed real gratitude.
I helped him pick up his books, and asked him where he lived. As it turned out, he lived near me, so I asked him why I had never seen him before. He said he had gone to private school before now. I would have never hung out with a private school kid before. We talked all the way home, and I carried some of his books. He turned out to be a pretty cool kid. I asked him if he wanted to play a little football with my friends He said yes. We hung out all weekend and the more I got to know Kyle, the more I liked him, and my friends thought the same of him. Monday morning came! , and there was Kyle with the huge stack of books again. I stopped him and said, "Boy, you are gonna really build some serious muscles with this pile of books everyday! " He just laughed ! and handed me half the books. Over the next four years, Kyle and I became best friends. When we were seniors, we began to think about college.
Kyle decided on Georgetown , and I was going to Duke. I knew that we would always be friends, that the miles would never be a problem. He was going to be a doctor, and I was going for business on a football scholarship. Kyle was valedictorian of our class. I teased him all the time about being a nerd. He had to prepare a speech for graduation. I was so glad it wasn’t me having to get up there and speak Graduation day, I saw Kyle. He looked great. He was one of those guys that really found himself during high school. He filled out and actually looked good in glasses. He had more dates than I had and all the girls loved him. Boy, sometimes I was jealous! Today was one of those days. I could see that he was nervous about his speech. So, I smacked him on the back and said, "Hey, big guy, you’ll be great!" He looked at me with one of those looks (the really grateful one) and smiled. " Thanks," he said. As he started his speech, he cleared his throat, and began "Graduation is a time to thank those who helped you make it through those tough years. Your parents, your teachers, your siblings, maybe a coach…but mostly your friends… I am here to tell all of you that being a friend to someone is the best gift you can give them. I am going to tell you a story." I just looked at my friend with disbelief as he told the story of the first day we met. He had planned to kill himself over the weekend. He talked of how he had cleaned out his locker so his Mom wouldn’t have to do it later and was carrying his stuff home. He looked hard at me and gave me a little smile. "Thankfully, I was saved. My friend saved me from doing the unspeakable." I heard the gasp go through the crowd as this handsome, popular boy told us all about his weakest moment. I saw his Mom and dad looking at me and smiling that same grateful smile. Not until that moment did I realize it’s depth. Never underestimate the power of your actions. With one small gesture you can change a person’s life.
Tis a nice reminder sometimes, that you can be important to someone, without even realizing it. Just like you can be helpful, even when you’re not really sure you are being helpful. *smiles*
I guess I should be getting to bed…I didn’t get there til 3 last night…And I’m still feeling worn out from the dance…<br
/>
I’ve got this cool/fun Halloween thing…But I wanted to put some pictures up with it…and as I can’t get PhotoBucket to play nice tonight…You’ll all have to wait.
*looks around* Placing bets on to whether or not the Pet is going to make it to work tomorrow…As it is nearly 2:00 in the morning…And he’s not returned to his usual weekday sleeping location. [I’m guessing I’m not lucky enough to have him move out with out letting me know.]

Haha! ‘Tis hard to pic places and names, right? I was on a bloody roll yesterday!! I even made three maps of the ‘world’ where my characters are going to. My fear has turned to excitement. I think I’m having way too much fun with this. To show that, I’m taking my bloody NaNoWriMo spiral with me to class to finish my maps. *giggles* A note from
