The Trio…

…and I don’t mean Harry Potter and his Puppet Pals. *laughs*

Tis about the three kittens that have been the cause of the meowing under my bathroom for the last little while. Reorx finaly brought them out from the crawl space today to show them off. They are three fo the fattest little kittens I’ve seen in a long time. There is a tiger-ish one, like it’s mother, a grey and white one, and an all grey one. The tiger-ish and all grey have long, long hair. The third has hair a bit shorter, but still on the long-ish side.

I was hanging on to the tiger-ish one, as it was the first found, and thought to be the only one for a couple hours. I could feel the allergies setting in. I’m not going to be able to spend much time around that one at all. Not sure about the other two, as I was medicated by the time they surface. Anyway…while hanging on to the tiger-ish one, it put a paw on either side of my neck, like it was giviing me a hug. Awwwwww….Too bad I can’t be around them.

Growing up we always had cats and kittens, for just about as long as I can remeber. It started with a while one named Slyvester, whom was suppose to be a boy. *falls over laughing* That ‘tom’ went on to have two liters a year up until the time it ran away. We had a (white) cat named Ghost, who when the phone would ring, would scale the wall by the phone. There was Muffy, and Fluffy, and Panther.  We had Colors, who had Casey (I think). KitKat (whom we found in the middle of winter, nearly froze in a snowbank.) Ug…I know I’m missing some. There must of been a time without some cats…as I don’t think we had any when Mum got me Cindy…who died. *sigh* Then there was the second Panther, and her brood…and I don’t really recall any after them, until the trailer.

Pet’s mother had to move out of her house, and had three cats, we inherited them. They were outside until the mice started taking over. Then we brought the female in…a little too late…She started what would be the 7 we brought out to camp with us. Chased her away when she started being mean to them. It was also during this time i developed my allergy (I blame it on pregnancy things, and Critter A).  The last of those kittens have been gone for a while now. We found some under the neighbors house, not very old at all. My Mum kept them going…can’t rember if it was 6 or 7.  Well Reorx is the last of that line. She’s also the one I saved from the rouge racoon. With her babies we now have a feline count of 7 again. Reorx (who is probably 6…as I don’t think Harley was here yet), and her brood of three…Shredder (whose been around almost as long as Reorx), Clip, and Samhain.  The last three seem to always be together…and Shredder and Reorx don’t get along.

Never know how long the kittens will last. It’s survival of the fittest out here. We’ve got owls, foxes, coyotes, and bears all in the imediate area. Mum says we can’t name the kittens yet…because if we do, they usually go missing. Still…I think the tiger-ish ones name is Turnip…not sure why, it just is. *laughs*

Okay…I can’t believe I just wrote that much about kittens and cats. *laughs*

Anyway…Use my gift certificate today…as well as a bit more…over on Amazon.com…Got some books.

Out of the Dark: The Complete Guide to Beings from Beyond
The Writer’s Digest Sourcebook for Building Believable Characters
The Elements of Style, Fourth Edition (Had to pay for half this one myself, as it ran over the gift certificate)
The Magical Worlds of Harry Potter : A Treasury of Myths, Legends, and Fascinating Facts  (Which I used my $10 that was marked as money from Raya on, as I know it’s what she was wanting to get me.)
The Harry Potter Companion  (And this one…just because I bloody well wanted it as well. And I was there…and the Pet’s last gas royalty check was suppose to be for my birthday stuff…so that’s what I’m counting this as.)

So, I will have reading materials for a bit. I still need to get focused back onto my writing exercises. The lack of something for that last image sensory paragraph is throwing me off.

Well…as I am dying of thirst…I should go find something. As I know fully well that you are already dehydrated by the time you feel thirst…And I know I don’t take in nearly enough liquids on a regular day…let alone today.

Your childhood sounds like mine, cat-wise. There was Lucky Senior, Tigger Senior (they were both Maine coons), Lucky the Second, Smokey (females), and now we have Timon, Squeaker, Riley, and Tigger the Second, aka Snotbag. ~

Yay for kittens and books! I love both! Though, kittens make me sneeze too. lol. Anyway, those all sound like great reads! I need to read, I have tons of books here, but I think I’m burned out on reading from school. lol. 🙂
