The semester thus far…

If I disappear for a while…Blame college.

Thus far it hasn’t been too bad, but it’s only been two days too.

Adolescence/Cultural Diversity: I have the reading for this week done, but I didn’t have the questions printed out, so I need to go through and try to find the page numbers & quotes that are relevant to the questions so I can do the discussions when the time comes. Monster is actually a better book that I was expecting it to be. I think it’s because it’s written by an actual gang member, as opposed to someone trying to write a gang story without the real life experience and filling it full of things that wouldn’t need to be there.
In this class I’m looking at 2-3 papers. 2 definite essays & a third paper/project.

Detective Fiction: I’m looking at another 3 ‘Out-of-Class Essays’, and 3 ‘In-Class Essays’. Plus he’ll be tossing another book at us to read at some point.
The first book we are to read…Poe’s. *grins* Got that taken care of.
We’ll be watching movies too. Starting tomorrow, we’ll be watching the first half of ‘Gaslight’.
& if all goes well, & the teacher really does love us, when he’s talking about Poe sometime later, he’ll show us ‘Fall of the House of Usher’. He said it was a possibility.

Abnormal Psychology: We have not tests! *tosses confetti* I’m still not sure exactly how things will work. He’s going to give us stuff on Wednesdays & we are suppose to be prepared to do something on Mondays. *shrugs* I’m sure I’ll get it figured out before too long.

Contemporary Ethical Dilemmas: Another 3 papers to write. & like in Eastern Religions he’s going to make us get another book to read & do a presentation on. Blah. Plus we have media reviews to do again…Bleck. We have to start reading ‘Her Sister’s Keeper’…Plus read a chapter a week out of the ‘textbook’ for the class.

Pottery: I need to get a sketchbook, not that I’m surprised…Crap, I was going to look up stuff for that tonight. Blah…Oh well, I still have a bit of time left before sleep.
We have ‘5’ projects.
Assignment #1: 4 Goblets. With the addition of a tray it could become a ‘set’. *shrugs* So it’s really 4 or 5 objects.
Assignment #2: 3 Bottle forms. Which means making 3 separate bottles.
Assignment #3: Figurative forms…Suppose to make something that looks like a human figure somewhere along the lines. *shrugs*
Assignment #4: Wall Art/Relief. So yeah, something that hangs on the wall.
Assignment #5: Large Stacking Object. Pretty much you make two things that are related, at least 12 inches tall, that stack one on top of the other.

Blah…I haven’t even a clue where to bloody well start. *sigh* *falls over*  [So it’s pretty much like 11-12 objects I have to make.]

On a poor Critter note. Apparently their father got the babysitter issue figured out and he’s going to come pick them up tomorrow. Blah.
