The rest of the day…

Today was just out to get me…and that’s all there is to it.

I took the kids and we went shopping. They behaved pretty good. Did shove them in the cart due to not listening once. But they got over it, and I let Harley loose again (Sonja didn’t want to).

Before we left my Jeep door was giving me a bit of trouble…it’s actually been giving to some trouble for a while now. Though not as bad. Did the shopping thing, then took the kids to McDonald’s for dinner (Mum’s suggestion when I talked to her). We all got Happy Meals…*is a kid at heart* We got the treasure chest thing…I like it. *laughs*

While shopping I got a couple patterns…Same pattern actually, just one in child size, and one in adult size. Got Harley’s shirt for his costume all cut out, just needs pinned and sewed now. I’m trying to recreate an outfit from a catalog…not sure if I can manage it. The coat thing is what’s going to give me troubles I think.
Sonja says she’ll wear her Spring dress for her fancy dress….so I just need to make her a cat…with wings, and a crown. *shakes head* I haven’t a clue as to what she is…but as long as she’s happy with it…that’s all that matters. *laughs*

Anyway…on the way home, luckily after I turned off the main road, and started on the one that goes through the Jordan River area (which is just a nice scenic drive) my door comes open, and I can not, under any circumstances, get it to shut and stay shut. Luckily no traffic to fall out of the Jeep and into…not that I fell out of the Jeep…Just had to keep trying to get the door to stay shut for 5 min.
Stopped to have my Mum look at it, to see if she could get the thing set just so that it would hook…which she couldn’t…the door is pretty much broke. So she bungy corded it shut, and called it good for the night.

Was working on cutting out one of the patterns, and Sonja informed me that there wasn’t any cat food out. I told her I would do it in a few minutes. She had some in the can and sat it down behind the couch. A few minutes laters I heard a scratching sound, and went to investigate. One of the racoons was up on the porch, her nose in the doorway. She actually came in the house! *laughs*   So I went over there, and got the can to fill it up good, the racoon retreating to the porch. To the ground when I went out.
I was walking around looking for a place to dump it out, and I think she was seriously considering getting close enough to sniff my ankle! *laughs*  I know some people would be freaking out…but it was just great. I’m sure it was the one that I gave the chocolate to. So she’s offically my racoon. *laughs*
Mum figures hers (Big Black) has passed on. We haven’t seen one that resemebles her at all this summer. This one is probably one of her babys. It’s one of the black ones anyway.

We’ve got about three racoon shades out here…The black ones, then some that I was calling cinnamon, which are kind of a lightish, greyish, color….and then some reddish ones.

So all that stuff was pretty good….Other than the whole Jeep door thing…which I will live.

Then the one thing to really bother me…of course must involve the pet.
When he showed up, surprisingly right after work. The kids told him they went to McDonalds. He asks where his is. I told him it was still at McDonalds. And he starts in with we never get him anything. I reply with never knowing when or if he’s going to be here, or what he’d want, and he just waves me off all huffy. *rolls eyes*

Ug…It’s still 78.8 and it’s appraoching midnight…another 25 minutes. Don’t even want to think what that means for tomorrow.

I’m hoping Mum is home at a decent time tomarrow. If she is, I’m thinking of sneaking off to T.C. and watching Pirates. Even if it means going by myself…as I have no one else to watch it with.

Well…I suppose I’ll go see how many people have fallen victim to my ‘skin-crawling’ entry. *laughs* Come on people…Peter needs love too! *falls over laughing* *shakes head at self* I still don’t know what’s wrong with my mind. I can not explain it…there just isn’t an explanation. *laughs*
