The Ides of March…
Just because I like that title. *laughs*
Let’s see…where to start.
Well, I’m feeling better. Not 100% mind you, but much better. I could still use a nice long sleep. And my throat is sore…but it’s like that a lot….though now that I think about it, it hasn’t been as much of late. *shrugs*
School was at least 3 hours delayed today, due to last nights snow attack. What happened to Spring? I thought it had showed up already. *pouts* It was 50 degrees this week-end! I was wearing skirts, and light shirts…*glares at snow* I bloody well hate snow. Anyway…I don’t know if school was ever called off completely or not, but I didn’t send Sonja anyway.
Went to eye dr. again today. I’ve come to the conclusion I won’t be going to Wal-Mart again to get my eyes checked. The perscription I’ve got now is less than what I got from them last time. Which is why I was thinking that the perscrption was off…I go in there today, and the dr. informs me that I’ve got an astigmatisim (or however it’s spelled). Well with the lesser prescription I am actually reading the menu on the satilite. Though I’ve got ‘moving contact syndrom’ now. *laughs* It’s quite odd really It’s a lot of getting use to. But I think I’ll manage.
Got to experience the loverly dilation of the eyes today…I felt like a bleedin owl, I had very wide eyes. *laughs* They scared Sonja…Big black endless pits, with very little colour left. I do believe they have returned to normal now…though it was hard to read for a while, and being online was very difficult. But It’s all good now…I think…I hope…*laughs*
Another thing…I found out my eye dr. is a Harry Potter fan…I’m finding them all over. *laughs* The receptionist at my orhadonist is a fan as well.
Like I mentioned, it stormed a bit last night, leaving snow and ick on the roads. Mum came home saying she was almost history, as the Jeep hit a slick spot, and she ended up in the pathway of an uncoming garbage truck. Luckily the garbage truck driver was a good driver and swerved and avoided my Mum….Otherwise…well I’d be an utter mess right now…as would she…but I would still be breathing…her probably not. *breaths a sigh of relief*
Which brings me to the ride home…For the most part, most of the roads were fine and clear…just every so often there would be a patch of that slick snow on the road. Well my Jeep hit one of those spots, and I lost control of it. I swerved into the other lane, back into mine, and off the road. I ended up probably 20 foot off the road. Having a near miss with a sigh, and an electrical pole. Tried to pull forward, nope. Backed up, then went forward, and Jeep said, Okay…so I drove back out to the road, and continued on my way home…though quite shaken from the experience.
I’m not happy with Amazon.com. *scowls* Twice now I tried to order a movie. Twice now when it gets here it’s not the right movie! *kicks Amazon.com repeatedly* Bloody morons! Who is in your bloody packing department? Why can’t they do their bloody job? All I want is Rasputin with Alan Rickman in it…is that too much to ask? Obviously it is when you’re dealing with Amazon.com.
Ahhhhh….My arm itches something fierce. Which I suppose is a good thing, since it means my phoenix is healing up. It’s also losing it’s layer of dead skin…Sonja said I was molting. Where does she come up with these things? I mean it would be one thing if it was wrong….but to bring it up, and in the right context…My children sometimes scare me. *laughs*
Another instance…Harley yesterday.
Mum had to fix the satilite, there is a thing on the menu that you have to scroll down so many choices to get to where it shows the signal strength. Got it set, and had it back to regular tv, Harley said something about having to go down 7 to get to the signal strength button. I was like…wtf? As I didn’t remeber them being numbered at all…which apon going back and checking…It’s not numbered…so I decided to just count down the menu, just to see…and the signal strength…It’s the 7th one down. *looks at Critter B* How the bloody hell did you do that?
Mum’s birthday is this Saturday…and for once, in many years, we are actually going to do something. Even though the Critters went up to pet’s mother’s last week-end, they are going to go up there again this week-end.
Day 5 of tattooness (well 6 now), and the pet is still oblivious. Granted I did have long sleeves on tonight, but at one point, I had them pushed up, and I was even throwing snack bars across the room, using that arm to throw them! *rolls eyes* Oh well…I knew he was clueless.
Well….this is probably long enough. So I should be on my way.
I’ll be going to Wal-Mart, too, for the eye exam and prescription. I’m sure it’s much cheaper than anywhere else. And yeah, I knew from Wal-Mart, the difference in price of glasses and contacts. So, for now, I’ll be wearing glasses unless I get some more money. Yikes! I’m glad you and your mum are okay. *kicks snow* It’s evil on the roads! *kicks pet and Amazon, too* ~

*shakes head* Sometimes I don’t even know what to say about him. It’s crazy. I probably wouldn’t trust Walmart for my eyes. I don’t even trust their oil changes lol. Anyways.. It was almost 70 here today, and we had 80 something the other day. It was nice. I hate snow. You can keep it all.
