The Further Adventures of Padfoot & Prongs

Okay…As it was Raya’s last day/night here, we decided one last adventure was in order. And as it is the 7th year of the decade, and prime Dogman hunting time…We decided to do that.

Initially went in search of the remains of Sigma…But I guess after 20 years, there isn’t really much left…Shouldn’t of been too surprised as there wasn’t much left 10 years ago.

So, then decided to head off some roads I know, a bit…And where the lake that I liked to go swimming in last year was at…Sand Lake.
Took a bit of finding it again. I’m not use to being the driver out on the two-tracks. But we did manage to find it! *grins*

Last year I had decided that I wanted to walk around the lake…As it’s not really that big of a lake. Well Raya and I started around it…Not quite half way around it two Muggle boys came down to the lake as well from the other entrance. They headed off in the direction we had come from…Raya and I continued around the lake.
Near the half-way point we heard something off in the woods…We kept stopping, and it kept stopping…We kept looking over to where the Muggle boys were at…Lost them for a moment, found them again…Then they disappeared again.

About 3/4 of the way to being back to where we needed to be, there was a barking, growling (dog-like) [Not nice sounding noise], on the other side of the lake…We kept going (sort of towards the sound if you really start thinking about it)…Almost to where we came down to the beach we heard one of the boys let out a scream. One quick scream…No sound from the other one. To where we needed to be on the beach we heard rustling in the woods…Pretty much in the direction we had to go to get to the Jeep. We cautiously made our way back up towards the Jeep, through the woods, a bit quick the last few steps of the way. Got in the Jeep…And were quite thankful that if anyone was getting eaten it was the Muggle boys and not us.

From there we went down a few more ‘spooky’ roads…Back through part of the Jordan…Then into town for some ice cream (yummies)…Then back down some more ‘spooky’ roads back to the house.

Did find a really cool, very blue, rock on the beach at Sand Lake…After weird noises in the woods not far from where we were, and prior to the barking/growling/Muggle boy scream thing.

All and all…As we are still both alive…I’m considering it an successful night out. *nods*
