Sonja’s sick…

For those who haven’t seen the cuteness (& tallness) that is boy…There is a friends entry back one.

Okay…Mum texted me during break…Sonja’s fever had reached 103.4! O.o *sigh*
I told the pottery teacher I wasn’t going to be in class, and why (to which he said he hoped she didn’t have the flu that’s going around)…
Went and picked up Harley…Told Mr. Z why I had come to get him early (Which I’m guessing Jessie overheard, as Dan ended up calling me later).
Picked up Mum and Sonja & headed for the Quick Care/ER…

Sonja has pneumonia.

It’s only just starting, so we were lucky enough to catch it early. She’s got some meds now…Which she isn’t fond of. Well she likes the Tylenol & Ibuprofen she has to take for the fever, but the antibiotic she is not liking. Not that I came blame her, I acidently got some on my fingers and got a taste of it…*shudders* It’s really beyond nasty stuff.

Anyway…She’s actually in good spirts and doing good otherwise. So after my inital worry over such a high fever, I’m feeling relieved. & She knows she’s not going outside this week-end, and she’s off school for at least one more day…We’ll see what the week-end brings.

Poor Sonja! It’s good that she seems to be acting okay, though. They always say it’s better to have a child with a higher fever but still acting okay than to have a child with a low grade fever and be listless. Hope she back out into the world soon!

103.4?? wow…I’m glad she seems to be doing OK. My sister had pneumonia and they made her stay in a bubble with a boy who kept stealing her toys. It’s her early childhood memory *random story, I know*. Hope Sonja’s gets better quickly. *points to last entry and drools* the boy is cute

I hope she feels better – there is a lot of sick kids around here as well – it’s crazy.

That’s horrible, I’m so sorry. But, at least you caught it early, as it could have ended up a whole lot worse. I’ll be thinking of you xxx

RYN: A friend came round, we got slightly out of it and I went to bed early. So I didn’t get my answer. I will have it by the end of the weekend though. Give Sonja many hugs from me, I’m glad she’s doing well xxx
