Reading & Shopping & Cooking & Stuff
Yesterday I read a book that wasn’t *gasp* required of a class. It felt good to just read for the sake of reading.
& on top of that it wasn’t even a work of fiction! *insert another gasp* & I enjoyed it. Amazing, I know. *laughs*
It was Hollywood Monster: A walk down Elm Street with the man of your dreams. An autobiography of Robert Englund. Which is why, despite it being non-fiction & a biography, that it managed to make it into my library. & I do so believe a movie marathon is in order. I just recently got all the movies on DVD. *grins*
I have to start work on at least one, if not two, more of the dessert for Sunday. I want to get as much done as possible before hand, so I’m not trying to make everything during the day. As it is, dinner is going to have to be made the day of, and it’s something I’m unfamiliar with, so it might take more attention than what I would ordinarily give.
Mum & I are going to finish up shopping Friday…At least that is the currently plan. Most of it is done, thankfully. I just want to see if I can find a couple more little things.
I really need a couple more things for Mum…But I don’t know what, or how I’m going to work that one.
@ 5:00 this morning Sonja’s doll was scanned out of the post office in Gaylord. So…Amazingly…It should actually be here in time to be put under the tree. She knows what she is getting from me, but she also was told that the chances of it being here were slim to none. So having it actually be here…That will be the actual surprise…& hopefully she resists the urge to channel Drusilla…Otherwise Spike & Raven are going to be twitching before too long. *laughs*
Both Critters were upset yesterday, knowing they had to go to their father’s after school. *sigh*
Sonja came looking for me, in the hopes she could just go home where she wants to be.
Both of them want to stay home after Christmas when they come back home…It would be nice if he would just let them…But I don’t see it happening.
I told Sonja to think about what she wants to put into a letter, reasons of why she doesn’t want to go, and we will send it to Friend of the Court, and see if anything can be done.
She’s 13, she should be allowed some say in the manor. I hate the thought of Harley being left their without her added protection…Harley does bounce back quicker, at least seemingly, when told he has to go…Sonja on the other hand, it crushes her visually…I don’t know how the Idiot can just ignore the obvious effect the mere thought of going has on her.
Mum made sure we got the one thing Harley really wanted…Even though it was really more than we should of spent…But, he still believes, and with everything else going on in his life…He deserves to believe for as long as he can. Besides…Sonja has gotten things in the past when he hasn’t (her netbook, and then the laptop to replace it when it broke…& camp…So it was about time Harley got something ‘major’). It’s Legos, but it’s a big set. It’s Bubba Fett’s Slave I ship. So he should be all kinds of happy.
Well…I’ve got to finish up Facebook stuff…& peel myself away from that EVIL…& it is, it is quite evil there…& start on Spumetti & Prianiki.
I have been thoroughly enjoying reading for pleasure. Such a novel concept. I’m a little jealous of the American postal system. It’s cheaper and faster than the Canadian. It was once easier to send a package from Ontario to my sister and have here bring it over (though customs were super slow, so the package didn’t come in time)
