Playing Tag…& Run away thoughts
The first player of this game starts with writing 6 weird things/habits about themselves and then selects 6 others to write an entry about their 6 weird things/habits as well as state this rule clearly. After making your list of weird things, pick 6 others. They are allowed to laugh at you in your comments as much as they want, so deal! Don’t forget to leave a note that says, "You are tagged!" in their diary.

1.) I find walking through a cemetary peaceful and relaxing.
2.) I like to howl at the full moon. Tis great fun. At the wedding reception, Ken and I were outside, and apon seeing the moon in the sky, started howling at it…We actually ended up with quite a few people out there howling at it before we were done. *laughs*
3.) I played with spiders when I was a kid. All kinds of them, even those really ugly ones with the fat butts. Then somewhere along the lines I developed a great fear (to the point of being phobic) of them. Even a tiny one would make me scream and run. It has had been that way for ages. Now…and I’m not sure why the change, (but I’m not going to complain)…I’ve seemingly gotten over the whole fear thing. Still think they are ugly as can be, and killing them off when I see them. But I’m not scared.
4.) I’d rather sleep in the living room than in my bedroom (and not just because that’s where the pet is when he is home). It’s been like that since I was a kid. I use to build forts in the living room and sleep in them. (Sometimes I wish I could still build them…I seemed to have lost my knack for it…But I had some really awsome ones.)
5.) I’ve got six tattoos…Three of them having DragonLance connections…Three of them having Harry Potter connections. They each have other, deeper meanings (for the most part), though when I’m asked about them, I can’t seem to manage to express them. It’s easier to say what the surface is about, and risk ridicule for that, rather than going indepth, and worrying I’ll recieve ridicule for that instead.
6.) I’ve got this odd (for lack of a better word, though some may place deranged, depraved, or some other such word in place) lust-thing, for Peter "Wormtail" Pettigrew. I don’t want to keep him, or pledge any kind of love for him, other than that of friendship, I just want to take him out of his box, play with him a bit, then put him away again. *falls over laughing* *proceeds to beat head on floor* I don’t know what it is, it can’t be explained…I can’t even explain it to myself…It’s just…There. *laughs*

Despite the fact that thunder had echoed, and the sky was growing dark, I headed off to Boyne for my walk. Wasn’t far down the road at all before the first little bit of rain came. But I know full well it could be raining here, and have the sun shining bright not even five miles away. So I kept going with this as my thought. Rain stopped…though it was still dark. Then I’m looking down the road, and thinking ‘that looks like a wall of rain’. And I was right…I swear, there was an actual wall. It was kind of like stepping (rather driving) through a portal of some sorts. There was hardly any rain, and you pass through this wall, and into a downpour. Apon leaving the area, I looked back to see another wall of rain behind me where I exited. *laughs* That has got to be one of the coolest/weirdest/strangest/oddest sights I have been witness to. There was another rain wall I had to pass through, though it wasn’t defined quite as well as the first. Plus some more rain here and there while I was on my way. Keep in mind, this is all within a 25 mile stretch. So the weather was really confused. *laughs*
Get to Libby’s. It’s hot, not unbearable, as the rain had paid a visit and lessened some of the heat. Lucikly the humity didn’t take over. We decide to chance it, so off we go. Down the sidewalk out of the apartment complex, first turn, down the sidewalk, almost to the next road we take, the sprinkling starts. Eh, no big deal. I had my Hogwarts hoodie tied around my waist, so I undid it, slipped it on, rain gets a bit heavier, I put the hood up. By the time we get to our first road change, it’s raining pretty good…But we keep going. About three big blocks later, it’s not raining anymore, and I ponder over the fact that one half of me is utterly soaked, while the other half isn’t soaked as badly. *shrugs* Still haven’t figured that one out yet. Crawled out of my hood while it was still sprinkling some, as the front half of my hair was soaked anyway.
Made our usual first stop to get drinks and snacks. When the guy before us left the cashier said something to him about keeping dry. Meanwhile me and Libby are standing there looking like a couple of drown rats. Apon us getting ready to leave, she didn’t say anything, so just joking around I commented that she didn’t tell us to keep dry…so barly containing a laugh she did. *laughs*
We had a few more bouts of rain, and non-rain. Learned the hard way one does not run through the branches of a weeping willow, arms up, after a rain storm. One would only get a whole lot wetter…even when I hadn’t thought it possible. *laughs* But, even with the rain…or maybe due in part to the rain…it was a good walk.
Weather Bug says it got to 84 today…Saturday (which will be today by the time I get this posted) it’s calling for 90…Sunday for 95 .
Not sure what Sat. is going to bring…other than I need to pick up a few things, as we are Out of cat food…Out of dryer sheets…almost out of Clothes soap…My coffee is getting low, don’t think it’ll last another week (and although caffinee doesn’t effect me to the point of keeping me awake at night, I do need my morning dose to keep me going).
Sunday…in predicted sweltering heat (and hopefully with the Mum’s mother’s car…as it has air conditioning) we will be heading out around one o’clock to take Sonja down to her week at camp. I don’t know about her, but I’M getting nervous. She’s never been 1) Gone away so long 2) Gone away so far. I hope she does good…She seems to make friends no matter where she goes though…She can even make friends on a trip to the beach…So I have to believe she will be just fine…I just hope she doesn’t miss us to the point of it being overly hard on her.
I can’t really remeber much about my feelings over camp for the most part. I do remeber not wanting to play soccer during the non-water time activity…I think I just ended up wandering around aimlessly. I can’t recall really. I remeber sinking a canoe…we were suppose to. Tipping over a boat…we were suppose to do that too. *laughs* Vagely remeber something about keys hanging on a white board having something to do with swim-time. Pancakes or waffles at breakfast one morning with syrup. Standing in the line waiting to go into the mess hall. The hike to the barn…rather the ride on the nurses shoulders to the barn…Gods, he was a cute man! *laughs* Swinging on a rope at the barn, to ‘Tarzan swinging through the air’…Though I think I got Cheetah. *laughs* Not feeling good that night…So the nurse took me on a Snipe hunt! *laughs* Ha! Take that all you oth
er campers, while you were fast asleep in the barn, I was wandering around outside with the attractive nurse guy! *falls over laughing* I remeber running all over doing diffrent things for the ‘color war’ thing…something about a hobby horse…and I want to say something about balloons. Night time bonefires…one night shoving a straw into pickles and sucking the juice out. Another our cabin sang Old McDonald…we were all diffrent animals. They tried to make me be a pig and I cried…I ended up the cat. Last night ceremonies, when everyone was getting blindfolded, I cried again…I didn’t have to have a blindfold…I just kept my eyes shut. There was a braclet with a couple beads on it…I had mine for the longest time afterwards…but it’s gone now…*sigh* Putting lit candles on pie tins in the water to float off in honor of something, or someone…I can’t recall just what now. And the next morning retriving some of them that were still floating nearby the dock while we were waiting to leave.
I remeber the dark haired girl who walked with me that night…I can even almost successfully picture here…I want to call her Rosie for some reason…though I don’t know if that was her name or not. *sigh*
I remeber more than I thought I did…and as I think about it, I remeber even more…Arts and Crafts…the smell of candle wax as we dipped candles…the hike to find broken egg shells of diffrent colors to take back and use on a project.
I remeber after camp…I told myself it wasn’t that great…and when we were set to have a field trip there for school a couple years later, I was thinking it wasn’t going to be that good. But I really enjoyed the field trip…we did archery, and played a game where we were assigned animals, and had to go out into the woods, find our mates, find food that was hidden out there…and just try to survive, and avoid predators if we were the smaller kinds of critters…I think I was a mouse…and somehow one of my friends had gotten the mate card for mine.
Camp wasn’t so bad…I think I let that last night, and being scared, even though it didn’t last that long, to taint it. I hope Sonja has as much fun as I did. I wish I could go to camp again…*sigh*
*pats head* It’ll be okay. Perhaps, once you’re not so depraved, you’ll come to your senses. *laughs* Joking! Who am I to talk? I lust over Voldemort! Awe, you didn’t put the many times we howl at the moon. *laughs* *hisses at hot weather* I hate it, hate it, hate it! I’m glad it’s been raining here for the past week. ~

oh my god!! *crosses legs* I’m laughing so hard about your number 2 and 6th habit. By the way this is the girl who played Daphne Greengrass in the rpg and Keelin Green.

I never went to camp. Our weather is almost as weird as yours…almost. I was hoping for a hike/ garden trip tomorrow but 90 degree + rain forecast seem to have squelched that. Anyway, your walk sounded fun and the running through the willow tree branches…lol! Sounds like something I would do. I know someone else that played with spiders as a kid and can’t stand them now.

I went to horse camp at 15. It was a lot of fun, and we spent up to fivr hours a day riding and taking care of the horses. Hot weather… *bristles* Hate it, loathe it, I live in Indiana. It’s going to be in the 90’s from now until Thursday (at least.) ~

I’d like to walk in the rain. And I never went to camp. My parents couldn’t afford it. Unless you could call spending 2wks at our grandparents (1/4mile down the road, with our cousins) a camp. We always spent 2wks during the summer there. It was fun.

Your #1 reminded me – one of the first things my husband and I did together right after we met was take a walk through the cemetary near our dorm. It was strangly romantic.
