More stuff about classes…

Let’s see…

Didn’t get my grade back on my Plant Bio quiz, because…Class was cancelled!

The Psych teacher told us today that he curves the class…Class is set to be worth 1000 points. That would be a 4.0…Whoever gets the most points gets the 4.0, even if those points only add up to 900. On top of that, he’s put out an Extra Credit thing worth 100 points. He also showed us a bit of a break down on how the grades for the last quiz went…The lowest person got 13 points…The highest got 33 points…In the middle would be 24 points…The class averaged 23 points…I got 26 points! So my C is Psych might be a bit more than a C…Depending how things go, and how much the class improves over the semester. [10 more weeks after this one…Plus Exam week.]

Extra Credit: Changing Behavior-Basic Steps [If we do this, we are to pick a behavior we wish to change]
1) Identify goals and target behaviors
The first step is to define desired behavior. The goals must be stated in observable terms and lead to specific targets.
Exp: A goal might be "to increase study time" whereas the target behavior would be "to study at least two hours per day on weekdays and an hour on Saturdays."
2) Designing a data-recording system and recording primary data.
To determine whether behavior has changed it, it is necessary to collect data before any changes are made in the situation. This information provides a baseline against which future changes can be measured
3) Selecting a behavior-Change strategy
The most crucial step is to select an appropriate strategy. Because all the principles of learning can be employed to bring about behavior change, a "package" of treatments is normally used.
4) Implementing the program
The next step is to institute the program
5) Keeping careful records after the program implemented
6) Evaluating and altering the ongoing program.
Finally, the results of the program should be compared with baseline data to determine its effectiveness.

Not sure what to do with that one, or how to go about it…Got a bit of time to think on it though.

What I need to do is get to working on my Paraveraceae [Poppy] Family Presentation. [And yes, I spelled that loverly long family name without looking it up. *grins* Yeah, yeah, I’m so proud of knowing the proper scientific name spelling for poppy. *laughs*] I have one source with a bunch of info I need to sort through…Need two more sources, and to make sure I have the info I need.

Plus…I need to figure out what/how the bloody hell I’m going to manage my English paper…Unless I start out with the focus on Vampires in Gothic Literature, and then move on to how the modern day vampire was spawned back with Polidori’s writing of ‘The Vampyre’ [The first English vampire story], and that prior to that, instead of the visage of the proud nobleman that has become synonymous with the vampire of today, the vampires were of the Nosteratu variety, appearing quite grotesque and ghoulish.

Think that’s about everything…*skips off*

why dont you try to cut a word out of your vocabulary for your project. My boss has been trying to get us to cut out the word “guys” because it is gender discrimitory, its hard. ryn: sigh, it would appear that Mr. Mouse has taken up permanent residency. I have no problem with it though I’ve moved my bag of clothes from under by bunk to avoid having my clothes turned into mouse nest
