Me babbling…Mostly college related stuff…

Well…Today was the meeting with my adviser and my orientation for Grand Valley State University. I am officially all registered for next fall & winter semesters (There at least…I still need to take some classes @ NMC).

Found out a couple things.
1. That they did some changes that made Mythology no longer a required class. *headdesk* So I am suffering through this idiotic online class, and it serves NO purpose. Blah.
2. I need to manage to pass this semester of French with a 2.0 so I will qualify for my third semester…Then…I only need a D to be considered passing enough to transfer credit.
3. My credits transfer…My grades do NOT. O.o *shrugs* [Guess that’s okay tho, since Brit. Lit’s grade was less than I would have liked…& French’s 2.5 last semester…& whatever I manage to get this semester…& the next.]

I have four more classes that I have to take at NMC.
3rd semester French, MTH 106 & 206 Math for Elementary Teachers (one fall semester, one spring semester)…& the class that replaced Mythology as required…ENG 263 World Authors (Which I have no bloody idea what it is).

Fall semester I will only have 3 classes…2 @ NMC & 1 @ GVSU. I will be taking ENG 215 Foundations of Literacy…It will be Mondays from 3:00-5:30.
Spring/Winter semester (called Spring @ NMC, called Winter @ GVSU) I will be back up to four classes…2 @ NMC & 2 @ GVSU. One of the ones from Grand Valley will be part of their ‘theme’ program…I’m doing the Creativity theme…& the class I will be taking that semester is called Creativity. [The other class for my theme that I will be taking is called Story Telling…But that won’t be until Fall 2012.]

Also…My graduation date has been pushed back a year…All that I have to squeeze in was going to be too much. [Seriously I don’t know what info the guy I talked to last time was going on, but he left out a lot of classes that I apparently have to take.] 
I will be a Teaching Assistant the Winter of 2013 (I think) & then do my Student Teaching Fall of 2014 (& that should be the end of it).

I got a ‘goodie’ bag @ orientation (which was just me & the lady that does the orientation)…It had a can cozy, a little spiral bound notebook with plain paper in it, & an ink pen with a highlighter on the other end (which I have managed to misplace at the moment).

&…I suppose that leads up to school currently…Yeah…I have a lot of work to do. & I have to get off my arse & get to work on it.
First on the agenda…Uh…Good question…
On another note…I think I have figured out part of my anxiety issue…*beats head on wall* & for this particular part, nothing can be done for at the moment. It’s a kind of separation anxiety…I don’t think it’s all that, but that part works as a magnifier. It’s why the whole time I was gone, I didn’t feel the same level of anxiousness…Now that I’m back home, and the realization that that 600 miles separates us again…I get all twisted & knotted up. [& yet…I still will not be moving to St. Louis. I will just have to learn to deal with it somehow…The Kava Kava was working to some degree before I left…It’s really odd actually…It took care of the ‘normal’ anxiety stuff I think…& dulled this other…It’s weird…Really  hard to explain…Unless of course you think of it as another entity that was stuffed into a cage…It was there, but suppressed (& slightly annoyed, but *shrugs* what can you do)…I don’t know…*pokes @ brain* It’s a complicated mess up there.]

Back to school…
The Reading Response for Linguistics isn’t due until Thursday…But I’m going to attempt to work on it tonight after I get done with this…At least get a start on it.
Need to see what I need to read for American Lit. Not sure how he’ll handle that as we didn’t have class the Wed. before Spring Break due to snow storm.

So yeah…Got to get to work on something constructive…
