Last week in review

Well, the Idiot’s not working yet, so the Critters had to go to his house for the week. They weren’t happy about it. They liked the whole thought of not having to go there anymore.

Last week…Harley had College for Kids over in TC all week. Mon-Fri. He did good most of the days. Wed. he had a rough day & Fri. was a bit rough. But he had fun for the most part. So that is good.

Monday, Sonja & I went to the asylum and walked around. The candy store wasn’t open yet, so no candy for us. We walked around the outside of the asylum. We both so want a chance to sneak around in there.

Tuesday, Um…Can’t really remember much.

Wednesday, Mum gave the okay to use the Target Visa to get the Critters some school clothes…So we went shopping.

Sonja got 3 pairs of jeans & 6 T-shirts (Her shirts include a Canada one, an England one, Death the Kid from Soul Eater, Domo in a bear suit, My Chemical Romance, and one that says Bad Religion on it) Then we went to the Good Will, and Sonja found a pair of pinstripe pants and a whole pinstripe suit! & a formal dress! Yes, my daughter, whose 3 pair of jeans came from the men’s section, picked out a LONG formal dress.  & it fits her beautifully…& looks wonderful on her. She is def. gonna surprise anyone who is use to seeing her as her usual self, and she shows up in the dress. It’s dark blue, and has lace…I will have to get a picture up of it. Oh & she found a coat that she says makes her feel like 17th century England. *laughs*

Harley got 3 pairs of jeans, one pair of light colored pants & 2 T-shirts (His shirts have Sonic the Hedgehog on one and a shark on the other)

While we were at Good Will, Sonja & Harley found rollerblades & skates in the shoe section, and scrambled through to find some that fit. So when we left, Harley had roller-skates, & Sonja & I both had rollerblades.

Thursday, after Harley’s class, we came home, had lunch, and then went to try out our new used wheels. The one cemetery in Mancelona has paved roadways through it, so we went there, as we knew it was someplace that we could actually skate. Sonja needs a bit more practice. Harley did okay, fell down a couple times, but got right back up. And I surprised myself quite a bit…I actually stayed up, no falling, and could move pretty well.

Friday, Uh…Oh yeah…Had lunch at Ponderosa, as Harley had wanted to on the way back from getting Sonja, but Idiot turned out not to be working, so he was there instead of with us when we went to get Sonja…So it was postponed. Then we went to the asylum to walk around & go to the candy shop, as it was open at that time.

Had planned on taking them skating again Saturday, but it rained all day.

I picked up a pattern today to help me with my next cosplay costume…But, it doesn’t look like we’ll be making it to the convention in TC this year. *frowns* Not sure if I’ll have costumes done in time…Plus not sure if I’ll have the fundage for tickets…I’ve also heard that there is trouble among the planners…I’m not thrilled with the change of venue…& they already had their main guest bail on them.  So…I’m hoping to make it to JFAX next year. 1.) It’s a free con [Though due to it being hours away, we’ll need to find somewhere to stay] 2.) It’ll give me an excuse to go to Grand Valley’s campus, as that’s were it is held. [Sonja wants to check out the bookstore on campus…Not sure it’ll really be that exciting for her, but she does like the one at NMC.]

Well…Me thinks that it is for the time being…I’m actually going to Boyne to walk tomorrow. [1st time all summer! It’s been hectic.]
