Journal Exercise: Day Five:

Write about the ideas you have gleaned from your journaling during the week. How useful has your journaling been?

I’m not sure how many ideas have come from my journaling thus far, but the ideas have been coming, and I do have quite a few of them. [Almost overwhelming bunch, as the thoughts seem to be pouring in, but I know I don’t have to tackle them all at once. And that the ones I have will be there when I can’t come up with anything new.]

I do think it’s been useful though…as it’s getting me writing in genearl. And it’s making me think about things I might not have thought abour previously (which helps to get the ideas coming, like they are now).

*looks up* Well…that was short…and I’m not sure entirly what was wanted or required. *shrugs*

*wanders around a bit* So..I guess you all get a couple poems…

Who are you
to tell me I’m fine
You have no idea
what’s going through my mind

You don’t understand
the things I’ve been through
When will you learn
it’s not all about you

There was life before
and those things can’t be undone
Not every event is rosy
not every day a walk in the sun

Darkness comes to claim me
I am one of its own
No stranger to pain and misery
I feel so alone

I shy away from touch
I run from an embrace
And when this is ignored
its another slap in the face

You believe the past is past
that it simply fades away
Well some things linger
continue to haunt night and day

Things lurk in my thoughts
cause me to pull away
You think it’s all you
and take it personally

I try to convince you otherwise
that it’s something with me
But you’re so wrapped up in yourself
you say it can not be

So I give up and give in
and let you have your way
Going through the motions
it’s just another day

Add insult to injury
but you don’t understand
To you the past washes away
like waved apon the sand

Pressure May 13, 1991
Pressure makes me scared
Pressure makes me cry
Pressure bottles up inside
Pressure never can die

Pressure makes you wonder
Pressure makes you sad
Pressure builds up inside
Pressure makes one mad

Pressure is a carving tool
It carves you up inside
It makes you want to say yes
And when you do, you’ve lied

Pressure makes you want to hide
It makes you want to run
It takes away your thoughts
It takes away the fun

You say no, and no, and no
Then it turns to yes
It tears you up inside
Makes youre life a mess

You can’t ever go back
Once you’ve changed your mind
If you try to say no
You feel left behind.

those poems are really cool scary but lovely lol xxx

Those poems are sad, but still very good! I love rhyming. You’ve definitely acquired a lot of thoughts this week, with these exercies. Especially in last night’s entry, it seems. Keep up the good work! ~

I’ve never been one to rhyme.. I guess I just don’t have it in me… I really liked the first one a lot.
