Halloween is coming quickly…And unusable chap…
Halloween is my favourite holiday…It’s the one day I can usually pass for ‘normal’. *laughs*
I still have no idea what I’m going to be…which is just off for me. I usually know a bit in advance…not having it less than 2 weeks away, and still be clueless. And also since I am the resident seamstress and holder of the imagination of the house…I am responsible for getting Critter A’s and Critter B’s costumes in order…Which I’m doing way more slowly than I should be. I just don’t know where my motivation is. Maybe it has something to do with Trick or Treating being from 4 in the after noon til 6! WTF is with that? I mean, how bloody wrong is it to go trick or treating when the sun is still up? What happened to the anticipation of waiting for the sun to go down…for it to get dark…and then taking to the streets. This daily light hours stuff is rubbish. *misses the good ol’ days…rather nights*
Okays…some Halloween goodies…
A ‘Dancing’ Skeleton thing…Okay, I’ll admit that one is really, really, very much lame.
and this one is a Pumpkin Carving thing…I know, you probably all know how to carve pumpkins…but this talks about making those really cool shape designs that seem to be all the rage anymore. (What happed to just cutting a face into the bloody things?)
Other than that…I’m trying to figure out how to sort my Obeah stuff into workable thoughts. I’m thinking just bury myself in notes…then kind of create a book like my A Muggle’s Guide to the Wizarding World ( I do so love that book, and owe the author Fionna Boyle many, many thanks). I’m not sure how many students I should have on hand. I know from writing Azi’s first couple entires that I sort of have a trio going (completely accidental, believe me)…and occasionally a possible fourth (what with Cain hanging around). I don’t know…I just worry my thoughts won’t be orginal enough. I’d really like to get a whole story written…and have someone out there take an intrest in presenting it to the rest of the world for me. And maybe someday, while wandering around the net, discover fanfiction based on my characters, and my school, and what not. Although I must admit, I’m sure some of it would just make me shudder. I guess my own lack of confidence does a good job of holding me back. Even with all the praise I got for my previous story. And with deciding not to put Raven in Obeah after all…I lose out on my most developed character. Though I do get to restore Naamah to her proper being…I really don’t know what happened to her when she came to roleplay…Honestly, she wasn’t suppose to be a nasty snake bitch…She was really suppose to be helpful…strict yes…but not…well what she became online. *laughs*

Anyway…this is the right-up…possible prolog that I wrote a while back:
Long ago, the worlds of magic and the mundane lived side by side. But hatred and misunderstanding drove them apart. Many mythical and magical beings decided to take shelter behind the veil that seperated the two worlds. Other decided to live amidst the mundane world, masquarading as humans.
After several generations, family history was lost, as well as the magical abilities of many who hid in the mundance world. On occasion a child would be born, still possessing the lost skills, but often, with no one to help train them in using their gifts, they were lost, or lay dormant. Still others, who could manage to tap into them didn’t always use them properly.
It was decided, a school would be created, hidden in the mundane world. Here there gifted youngsters would learn the truth, and how to control and regain the lost magics. In the hope, that someday, the two worlds could once again become one.

Here was the orginal start…when Raven was going to be going…
A Londoner In The Big Easy
Raven stepped out of the gate at the airport terminal. It had been a twelve hour flight, that in a warped way, thrust her back in time. It had been 4 pm when she left London, it was now 10 am of the same day. The airport itself was a busy place, people coming and going. It reminded her a lot of the traffic at King’s Cross train station. ‘That’s where I should be, ‘ the little voice inside her head whispered. ‘With your friends and family. At school there, not here, not in this foreign country.’
"No." She corrected it. "I need to be here. I need to learn to control my powers. I need to learn what they are exactly. I can’t risk hurting anyone else." The argueement with herself settled, Raven looked around the terminal. For what she wasn’t sure. She’d never been to the states before, so it wasn’t likely she’d see a familiar face. But the school should be sending someone to pick her up, shouldn’t they? She wouldn’t be able to find it on her own, she knew that.
The school…the school being Obeah School for Mystical and Magical Beings. And she was, so she’d been told, counted amoung them. Her 5 times great grandmother had been a lilin, a part human, part serpant hybrid, with wings, to put it in simple terms. But simple terms didn’t always cover it, and although she herself showed no outside signs of being anything but human, inside…inside she had the magic, the power, the ablilities.
That is why she was here. She had nearly cuased damage to a fellow student at her old school, a member of her own house even, enchanting him to the point of being catatonic. They’d managed to snap him out of it, after a bit of work…but he’d lost 3 days time. ‘Why could I just be a normal witch.’ she thought to herself. Just then a shock of red hair caught her attention. She chided herself, telling herself she wasn’t in London, it wasn’t who she thought. The lad with the red hair turned around. And no, it wasn’t anyone she knew, but judging by the sign he held, he soon would be.
* * * * * * * * * * * *
Azi paced the airport. He hated boredom…and waiting was always boring. He could always pass the time playing tricks on the mundanes. But as promising as that sounded, it was liable to get him thrown out of the airport. Dean Thoth, and Naamah either one, would never forgive him if he managed that one, exspecially before pickign up the new student, a transfer from London.
So he continued to pace, little sign in hand, feeling like a total idiot. ‘This should be considered punishment.’ Which was quite unfair since the school year hadn’t technically started, and he hadn’t done anything to get into trouble yet. Yet being the key word. But here he was, being pun
ished none-the-less. He decided he’d have to come up with something befitting such a punishment…then again…he’s just get detention out of the deal if school was in session.
He turned around, not paying attention, staring up at the ceiling. "Bored, bored, bored, bored, bored." he muttered out loud.
"Pardon me." A soft feminie voice with a slight accent caught his attention, snapping him out of his revelry.
"Why, hello there, " he said with a smile.
"I do believe you are waiting for me." The girl standing before him pushed purple locks from her face, revealing colbolt blue eyes, then offering her hand. "I’m Raven Pegasus."
Azi looked down at the sign he was holding, the name Raven Pegasus scarwled across it. He dropped the one side, to shake the offered hand. "Azi," hes said by way of introduction. "Azi Amata."
"Good to meet you Azi." Raven replied, releasing the handshake.
"Good to meet you as well." Azi smiled, "shall we get your bags, and head for Obeah?" he asked.
Raven nodded, "That would be delightful." Then followed Azi as he led the way twords the baggage claim.

And there you have…a useless chapter. *laughs*
Guess I should get this up now…since it seemed to have taken on a life of it’s own…things have been doing that a lot lately.
From 4 ’til 6?! That bloody sucks!!! *kicks time* You’re right, Trick or Treating is suppose to be at night! What’s the fun of doing it when the sun’s still up? *kicks again* O.o, that’d be awesome, creating a story from Obeah! I’d buy your book! *nods* You should definitely try for it! Awesome prologue, too! ~

Excellent. That’s what I was aiming for.
