Didn’t mean to be so long…
I had things to write about, they just didn’t seem to get written.
Last Thursday Mum took the day off, and we took the Critters to the zoo. It was quite fun, & we all want to go back.
There was sooo many animals…Although no tigers, they are working on their enclosure currently. They are, from what I’ve gathered, going to be able to ‘walk along’ the one pathway of the zoo with the visitors.
We took the Funicular to the top of the zoo and walked down. It involves walking downhill, rather than up hill, and less back tracking to see everything. Sonja was not impressed, she is not a fan of heights. Neither am I…But I can deal in a lot of situations…She sat on the floor.
Harley rode a camel.
& we all got to pet Stingrays! That was awesome! They feel so…squishie! *laughs*
The Critters are currently miserable. *sigh* It’s their week away.
Harley called me crying yesterday, wanting to come home.
Sonja has texted me a few times saying se wants to come home.
I wish he would see how miserable he makes them, and actually care to do something to fix it.
Started Science class yesterday. Blah. *falls over*
We were told we needed a packet of papers, and no books.
He hasn’t even mentioned the packet of papers…But he informs us we will have quite a bit of reading to do…
Our ‘text books’ are in the form of pdf files on blackboard. *groans* *headdesk*
The one book I had for another class, and thought it sucked then, so sold it back as soon as I could…*sigh* Wish I had it now.
I can’t read & retain & do what I need to do reading as such online. I have to have the actual paper in my hands.
Even when doing research, I have to print out the articles, even if I don’t now if I can use them, to be able to read them before I can tell if I can use them or not!
& currently, I’m out of ink. I got a few pages printed out before it died completely. *sigh*
BUT…I muddled through, and somehow managed to get my homework done.
Good point…No midterm or exams this time! WooHoo!
Not so good point…Not a lot of things our grade is split between.
20% is on attendance and participating.
40% is on our reflection questions & in-class discussion of them (this is where the readings come in at, answering these questions).
40% is on our Lab Journals. We will be doing experiments in class, which we then have to write up in a particular fashion.
We did one yesterday…It wasn’t too bad. I’m thinking of actually doing it with the Critters, although I’m not sure when…Time doesn’t permit for a while.
I don’t know what next week is going to bring…Wasil is suppose to be here Sunday…I rescue the Critters Sunday…I just hope the 4th doesn’t become a mess.
I wish he’d picked a different week, really.
After class yesterday I came out to a dead battery. *headdesk*
I had forgotten to turn the toggle switch to the fuel pump off.
I had just got done calling a wrecker for a jump when some guy stopped and asked what the trouble was.
He volunteered to give me a jump, so I cancelled the wrecker (saving me $34.00).
About the same time he was pulling up my Science teacher came out, so he was right there too, which turned out to be a good thing.
The guy who had offered to help opened the hood to his vehicle, and we all kind of just stared. O.o
It was the first time he’d opened the hood…It was a work vehicle and only had 250 miles on it…& the engine looked like NOTHING the 3 of us had ever seen.
There was a positive post, but no sign of a negative one. He took off what looked like a battery cover…& it was all electronics under it! O.o
So…We ended up using his jumper cables, but my teachers trunk…Whose engine looked like an actual engine.
Had to rescue Lieutenant Fluffy from the two stupid dogs today…I don’t know what they were thinking.
The poor little girl was all tumbled up and soggy and dirt covered…& so scared she just clung to me and didn’t want to let go.
My eyes have been a bit itchy since, but I’d do it all again.
I’m just getting over a sore throat due to allergies from when Harley had all three of the kittens in for maybe 10 minutes last week.
Well that is probably it for the moment…
