A bit of this, and a bit of that.

Okays…Finally getting to an update. I had planned to do it last night, but didn’t…Which is probably good since some of the possible sad news is of the betters this morning.

Kiba has been sick the last couple days…Yesterday he wasn’t looking good at all. We gave him medicine Tuesday night (Actually Reese gave him and Oni medicine Tuesday night…She does serve a purpose on occasion. *smirks*). Yesterday morning I told both Critters that he might not make it. This morning…He seems to be on the road to recovery.

Haven’t heard anything new on Roy. I’m going to go on the thought that if we aren’t hearing anything, at least that means he’s not getting any worse. Mum is going to have to call Uncle Larry and see what’s going on for sure.

Got some grades back…*just remembers should be getting more back today* Blah.

I blah because we should be getting our Eastern Religions paper back today…I’m not looking forward to that grade. L

Anyway…Tuesday I got the grades for the last two of my 3-D design projects…A 3.5 & a 4.0. J So I’m fairly happy with the way that class is going. *pokes at project #5* O.o [We have to make a 12” sphere, that rolls, out of cardboard. No tape, no glue. It, thus far, is not my friend…Then again, I’ve only tried to make it out of posterboard like stuff. I haven’t had a chance to try with actual cardboard…It’s due Tuesday.]

Got our first actual grade in Creative Writing as well. I got a 3.8. J I had a few mechanical errors, a couple slips in spelling. So yeah…I’m happy with what I got.

[Now I need to get to work on assignment #4…As it’s due next week…And I’ve not even began to do any actual writing for it.]

Eastern Religions has another paper due before the end of the month. It’s on Karma…More specifically which of three religions that we’ve looked at: Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism, have more freedom when it comes to the effects of Karma…Or something along those lines.

Photography…Thus far I’m doing well there too. I need to do some printing…Need five prints Monday for a mock portfolio review. Need 10 prints, mounted by the following Monday for Mid-Semester Portfolio review. [Did I ever mention…That stupid history paper we had to write for Photography…I got all 10 points that we could get on it. O.o I was shocked! *laughs*]

A bit on the Critters:
I got Sonja’s report card a day early (yesterday). For the most part it’s A’s & B’s. She’s got a D in writing…Her handwriting isn’t the prettiest, and she doesn’t like to write more than she has to when it comes to school work. Personally…I’m wondering if she could do it on computer if she would write more. *shrugs*

Anyway…She has one ‘E’ too. But…Her teacher explained that it was the beginning of a new unit, they only had 2 assignments before grades had to be turned in. So it was all new stuff. Since then she’s pulled her grade up to a D+ already. I think that’s pretty good turn around time, and she should be able to pull it up even further without too much trouble. So as far as I’m concerned (and Mum as well), she’s on her way to camp. [Dan probably will have a cow. I told Mrs. Fox to make sure (or try to) he realizes about how the whole grade thing went.] Seriously though the rest looks like this: Reading=B-, Spelling=B+, Grammer=A- (I need her to look at my stuff! *laughs*), Math=B, Science=B. So yeah…I’m not upset about it.

Harley…I’ll get his report card tonight after I get out of school. [Parent/Teacher conferences today…Poor Critters, half day of school. I swear, they are the only kids who dread half days of school.L ]

Now, as they are not doctors they can’t give a ‘medical diagnosis’, but the evaluation team that has been watching Harley for the last month has handed in their preliminary review. [The real only difference between it and the official one is this one doesn’t have their signitures on it.] On the scale they use for Austism Spectrum Disorder…Harley is a high functioning Autistic. Now…He’ll be retested in three years, and by then things may change, and he may no longer fit on the scale. But this is where we are right now.

They are coming up with a plan of action, which we should get on the 13th.

They gave him an IQ test, which he was at the high end of average for most of them. A couple of the people commented that due to how the test must be given, that they believe the scores are actually lower than they should be.

There was a couple instances that surprised the group…One he was being asked a bunch of questions, but he had been sitting still, and fidgetting…So the guy told him he could get up and walk around the room. He did so, and continued to answer questions. One of them was why shouldn’t one person have control of all the media (t.v., newspapers, etc.)…Harley told them it wouldn’t be fair, because only one person would be telling everyone what was what…Or something to that extent…Point being it was a thought usually beyond someone his age.

Another instance of something that surprised them. They were doing Social Studies in class…Harley was just kind of flipping through the pages of the book, seemingly not really paying attention. They handed out the work sheet. Mrs. Gooding told them to do the first one. Harley filled out the whole paper. The ones watching him were figuring he was just writing down/answering anything, and that he would have mistakes. He got every single one of them right.

Whichever otherworldly being responsible or the dangling of boys in front of me needs beat with a stick. There’s a boy in Photography, I finally decided to let myself be interested in such things. He’d talked to me a couple times…I nearly hit him with my cell phone one day in the hall when it slipped out of my hand. Anyway…I decided, what the heck, there is nothing wrong with attempting to show interest…So attempted during break Monday…Nothing major, simple, understated (Thankfully!). After class…Seen him walking down the hall, hand in hand, with what I am going to guess is his girlfriend. *headdesk*

Anyway…Had a not good day in Creative Writing yesterday (will explain in minute)…Ended up in the hall, nearly curled up in a ball, crying my eyes out. People wander by, no big deal…Then there is someone standing beside me…Asking me if I’m okay. O.o Of course, it has to be boy from Photography. *headdesk* Still…He sat down, listened to problem of the moment…We talked a little about this and that, got me calmed down and on the road to feeling better.
Seriously…People 99.9% of the time suck. They will not stop and attempt to console someone they hardly know…A boy, usually never.

So yeah…Just adds to the thought, ‘Hey, here’s one that looks like he might be a good one’. Think he could be, but per usual…Someone’s already figured that out.

Seems like there was something else…But currently, I can’t remember what it was.

I know I haven’t been reading you for long but i’m confused on so many levels! Firstly, I don’t understand your grading system – though i’m guessing you’re doing good with the number of smiley faces :O) so woot to you there :O) Secondly – the critters. Are they yours or are they siblings? When my siblings were younger I used to talk about them in a similar way. I’m just confused is all…
