Wet Ride
I took a good ride today. I headed north west then circled back south west. About 160 miles from home we stopped and ate lunch. A buddy of mine rode with me. After we ate we walked outside the restaurant and it was raining. Of course we came prepared and put our rain suits on and off we rode. About 20 miles down the road it started storming. He was behind me and pulled over because he couldn’t see very well. I kept going and stopped about 40 miles later and waited on him for about an hour. I called him to see if he was still stopped and he was just getting ready to get back on the road. He caught up with me then and we rode the rest of the way home in the rain, but not a storm. I told him the stormy weather is just a part of the adventure. He said he’s too old for the adventure part of it, not me… I love enjoy it. OOPs…I almost forgot one of my own rules there… you only love that which can love you back, inanimate things are only enjoyed. Fortunately we knew a more direct route home so we cut about 40 miles off of the trip home. Overall we covered about 300 miles today.
