Never Over

This came to me as I read another diarist entry last week.

Nothing is over until the memories die
And even then we all should try
To keep alive the things of pleasure
Wonderful things we can not measure
By writing them down for only our eyes
We know that our memories are not past lies.
What could have been, though it never will be
Will always be a part of me.

The best thing about some past event being a part of you forever is that we all are a product of our past and our present as we plan our future. I am what I am because of where I’ve been and what I’ve carried away as I left these places. If i’m smart everyone I come into contact with will benefit from my past and the lessons learned there. If not I am the one responsilble for repeated failures that will haunt me for life and/or make my past my future.

One thing is certain, my past is past and nothing will change it. My dream is still my dream and nothing will change it. WIth every passing day dream gives way to reality lately. Hopes and dreams will always be what gets me though from one place to another. Only fantasy is to be feared. I believe that every thing I hope and dream of is attainable because I see it around me. Happy couples are everywhere. Mothers and daughters, fathers and sons, grandparents and grandchildren…. everywhere. My faith has been restored.
