Olympics

The Olympics are upon us again. I have been watching some of it, mostly the artistic gymnastics, both men’s and women’s , and am looking forward to the rhythmic gymnastics and synchronised swimming.

In the ancient olympics, it was just the Greek city-states that participated, only men were allowed to compete, they performed naked and the events included sports, poetry and philosophy.

In the modern games, nations from around the world compete, both men and women participate, they wear clothes, and they do mostly sports, of various kinds.

I only know this from studying history, I am not that much of a geezer.

Some people might think the olympics would be fun to watch if the athletes were nude, as in the ancient games, but the lasciviousness would distact from the sporting aspect so wearing clothes is better.
