Miley Cyrus
I don’t watch award shows, I have more important things to do, like watch paint dry. So I didn’t see Miley Cyrus’s performance. But it is all the rage on the internet. My 2 ¢s worth: When female performers are raised in front of millions with a wholesome squeaky clean image, they can sometimes feel confined by that image. They want to break out of it and be seen as Women, instead of innocent girls. Like when the actress who played Mary Ellen Walton posed for Playboy. And at that point they don’t care what effect it will have on their fans. There are not a whole lot of good role models for girls anymore, other than Rebecca Saint James and Barlowgirl, and some secular acts like Mandy Moore. This hedonistic culture teaches us that you have to slut it up to be taken seriously, And venerial disease and broken lives are the result. The girls and boys of America deserve better.
