1920’s Romance
Your subtleties drop like incandescent bombs
and there’s no shelter safe from the fallout.
Vibrant paints drip from the sky
and now I only see in black and white:
It’s the 1920’s draped in romance.
Our hands fit together like puzzles
as we dance within a violin existence
beneath a starlit sky; we punctuate the night.
Let this last for all eternity.
Our shoes tap to the rhythm of our hearts as
our bodies fall into one another and move
gracefully to the wildest of our fantasies.
I breathe in your taste
as my heart beats through my chest,
you’ve got me at my best.
Our love melts and spills from
the heat of our romance and colors the world again.
It’s only you, love.
You’ve read my heart and inked your love onto it.
Now everyone will know by the red of everything.

*random noter* Wow, I really like this. The rhythm and imagery are great, and it all ties together nicely at the end. 🙂
