George Eads is Sex (y)
Ah, Peach Blossom. I had forgotten how much I loathe it. Of course, it was freezing and the wind was blowing at around 25 mph for the entire festival (with gusts up to 45 mph) so that we couldn’t even keep anything on display and at one point during the parade the entire tent that we had to cover us decided to take off into the air… it just wasn’t a good day for a festival. Half the vendors left an hour after the parade. The only people who stayed were kids who wanted to jump in the big dragon filled with plastic balls. Then I came home and because a fellow Jaycee told me I needed to get out of the house I decided it must be true. So I got all dolled up and after much hemming and hawing decided to go to the dance. Unfortunately my drunk mother also wanted to go. Now that meant that I couldn’t beg someone for a floor to sleep on so I had to stay sober.
Normally this would be just fine, but you see, I can’t really have a good time around a lot of strangers unless I’ve had a drink to relax me. Don’t worry – I don’t do this all the time … just when it’s Peach Blossom… usually. I don’t drink a lot and so Mom kept bugging me all night to have one drink and I knew it was a bad idea. I don’t drive drunk and one little drink would have left me very tipsy. As I said, I don’t drink a lot. So I watched my Mom dance in her little corner and talk to people she knew from the bank while I watched the band. I was very happy with watching the band. I was perfectly A-OK. My mother then decides that she must FIND ME A MAN. Oh yes. And since she is drunk she isn’t being subtle about it. She would go up to a man she found attractive (no one that I found attractive) and then ask “Are you married?” if they said no she would then say “You need to come over here and meet my daughter. Isn’t she beautiful? Don’t you want to dance with her?” The third time she assailed someone I grabbed my purse and sweater and we left. One hour after we arrived.
Sheesh.
Anyway… so other than that… it was a pretty crappy weekend. I spent Sunday arguing with Julia. She’s turning into such a teenager and I just want to pull all my hair out most of the time I’m around her. *sigh*
So, in order to make my day just a little brighter – I’m posting photos of George…
(Be happy Sunil – I decided to post George instead of Colin Firth who is also high on my lust list this week – along with Clive Owen and Natalie Portman)
And just for the heck of it I’m going to throw in a new Orlando Bloom because… well it’s Orlando Bloom. =oP
And I’m off now. I have a Watch with Kristin chat that I’m currently participating in and since she’s yet to answer questions about this particular show I definitely need to go ask some. =oD
Have a great day everyone!!
*hugs all around*
Either of my parents pulled something like that, I’d disown ’em.
