Earwigs

 So I have a fair problem of earwigs in my new place.  I’m pretty sure it’s only in the basement…and only in my room since 1. the basement is…well the basement..the foundation….and also, my room is the only one with carpet, and I’m guessing they like to stay underneath it as it is cool and damp.  I saw one or 2 last week, not a huge deal…but this week…so many! Way too many! I mean not INFESTED, but 2-3 a day is too much for me.  Yesterday I found 3, and today so far I’ve found 2.  I think they will help me stay cleaner bedroom wise..I’ve picked up a couple of clothes off the floor to find an earwig fall out. Yuck!  I’ve looked up different ways to get rid of them…I will try the more natural way first but if that doesn’t work, Shaun said we could look into something else to get rid of the problem.

Honestly, I’d prefer spiders to earwigs.  Earwigs are harmless, but they are freakier looking.  I’m used to spiders and used to killing them.  Earwigs, not so much.  I’m even afraid to pick up a dead one in a paper towel.  eek.
