What I have Learned From Callum

That burbing him every time I switch sides is very important. He has become a very gassy baby in the last 2 weeks. He gets a sore belly and kicks and archs his back. It can be very frustrating when he screams and then works himself up to a point where he won’t latch on, even when I know he is hungry.

He loves to fall asleep on my chest. He loves to fall asleep in bed with us. It must be the warmth and being close to us that makes him feel save. He hates to be moved.

That not very noise means that he wants to be picked up. He makes lots of noise. From slurps in his sleep to little crys. I believe that it is a premmie thing with all the noise, or so the health nurse keeps telling me.

I think that we are still in the adjustment period. Im still learning to sleep when he does. It’s been wonderful to have Matt home with me over the holidays. It’s great being back home. I know it’s nice to go away, but I really missed my bed. It took Callum a couple of days to settle in out Matt’s Parents house. By the time we left he was finly settled right in. Once we got home, he was fine. Not problems with getting back into home mode. I think he was happy to be home too. It’s hard to believe that he is findly here. All that waiting and wishing. I love the way he smells. So new and clean. It is a real rush of joy when I look at him and he gives me a little smile. Or when I’m feeding and he looks right into my eyes. I feel so content. I feel oh so happy.

That’s cool that you’ve learned those… I’ll keep those in mind with Makayla, altho I hope she doesn’t get into the habit of sleeping in bed with me!

isn’t cosleeping wonderful? Curtis and I often talk about how we couldn’t imagine Tempest sleeping anywhere else… having to run up and down 6 times a night, or to walk across the house to check on her. All I have to do is listen for one moment to hear her breathing, and feel her cuddling against me. And she gets to be soothed by my heartbeat just like in the womb. 🙂 ~:) Babs

My doc told me the same, i am just scared i am going to gain a lot of weight. i’m trying my best to eat healthy, but it can be hard. The doc said i’d go up to 75 kilos, which scares me a bit =)

burping is very important.my little man is always full of gas and it seems like it will never go away 🙁 some people use gas products such as “OVAL” but most doctotrs will say it’s more for parents comfort than anything, they arn’t proven to work. good luck and hope everything stays well.
