New Shoes, New Jeans

What a morning. I took Callum to the Ped this morning. My appt was at 10.45am and I got there at 10.30am. I like to get there a little bit early, you never know they maybe running on time. Well today they arnt running on time. At 11.30am I went and asked if we where next. The lady has a look and finds that my file is still sitting on the filetray and that the doctor doesn’t even know that Im there. Boy o’ Boy was I mad. Luckly we were where next. Callum now weighs 4.745 kilos which is 10.4 pounds. In three weeks he has put on 585gms. He is a little piggy. He is now 55 cms long and his head is still bigger then his body, but his body is catching up now. He has a head size of a normal 5 month old and the body of a  small 3 month old. So to say, his body is growing to fit his head. He is looking and feeling very heathly. But this time next year you wouldn’t even know that he was prem. His next appointment is in July.

 My breastmilk is coming along very well. Im getting about 3ml very 3 hours now. A lot better then .3ml before I started. It’s taken two weeks to get 3mls. Callum is not overly interested in feeding from me. Some feeds he is having a really good suck and then the next he doesn’t want to know about it. I’m expressing in a cup and cup feeding it to him. He seems to really enjoy that. Then he has a top up with formula. With Callum not sucking very feed and with me mostly pumping, I’ve had to ask Matt for help with sucking. We where sitting bed last night and Callum just had a feed and my boobs where feeling hard and I started to pump away not getting much out, I asked Matt to help. Callum was in the middle of us watching and Matt was teaching him how to lach back on, with Matt having a mouth full of boob, Callum layed there smiling and laughing at him. Matt said to Callum “I don’t have a problem laching on” ;o)

 I brought Callum his every first pare of Jeans yesterday, he looks cute in them too.

In bed this morning, i came back from having a shower and he was like this.

I just love his shoes.

Don’t mind the clean washing. He loves sitting on it. The smell and the feeling of it. I had just brought it in from outside, it was still warm from the sun.
