Leeking Boobs

Yesterday Morning, my belly started hurting. It was getting worse and worse and after about 45 minutes of pain bad enough that I wasn’t able to walk, I called my midwife’s office. She called me back and I explained to her what I was feeling and that I thought it might just be gas, but that it was weird. She asked me where I was feeling it (very low, right above my pubic area) and how long it had been going on for. Then she said she’d call me back, but 2 hours later and no call yet. Anyway, about an hour after I spoke to the nurse, the pain went away, just like that. Obviously, it was just gas. How embarrassing! How will I know the difference between gas pains and contractions when the time comes? On the upside, I have the weekend off, even thro today is Sunday.

Babe’s kicks and movements have become stronger and stronger this week. Matt still hasn’t felt any as of yet. Usually I just feel kicks and nudges really low and on my cervix (which is pretty uncomfortable to be honest), but I’m now starting to feel new movements as well. Like stretching, where I’ll feel a kick down low and what almost feels like a headbump up high, or a kick up high (is it that babe is rolling around in there, or are they actually punches?) or weird sensations that almost feel like he’s tumbling around. So far, his busy times seem to be in the midmorning and in the evening and while im eating. He’s generally pretty quiet during the day, with only occasional movements. But every evening, he has a half an hour or so of pure movement time.

I am amazed that if our babe, was born less than a mere 5 weeks from now, would most likely survive. What a milestone to reach. It’s almost as momentous (and in some ways, it feels more important) as getting past the first trimester. We also had a doctor check up last week. Very strong heartbeat at 160. It’s an amazing sound. The first time we heard it, Matt didn’t know what was going on. The doctor had his back to him and I was laying on the bed. It was all to fast for Matt and missed out on hearing it. So second time around at this appt, I yelled out to Matt “can you hear it Matt? That’s your son’s Heartbeating..” The doctor looked at me like I was a loon.

Also my nipples are leeking. Clear, yellowish stuff, and lots of it. Well it seems lots to me, and there was a wet patch in the bed this morning when we woke up. Matt still see’s my boobs as his personal toys and the leeking part doesn’t seem to fright him off.

lol I hate this answer, but i’ll say it, you’ll know the difference when it comes time :o) There was a gal on a message board, just had her son at 23 weeks 5 days…sad, he was born alive and i guess is ok right now but scary too :o( I wish he’d made it a bit longer for her ~ajaye
