Half Days
My Thursday half days are nearing the end. I don’t know whether I’d say I’ve enjoyed having the half day, but it hasn’t been as undesirable as I remembered it being last time I had this shift. I’ve been able to get a couple of errands done when necessary, and it’s always nice to have an extra little break to get some cleaning up done around the house. When I think that there are only two humans living here, I don’t know how it gets dirty so fast. Then I remember the dog and 2 cats, and it’s a little bit clearer…
All the animals are still doing just fine. We’ve been exceptionally blessed with a healthy clan for a good long time now, humans included. The garden is doing fine too. Even with these very cold mornings, my flowering plants are making it.
Work is going well. After a couple of months there at the beginning, I’ve been able to settle into my new position just fine and get everything organized, and find that everything is running very smoothly now. I’m hoping to get replacement,(for my leave) out of the next training group to keep me busy. I have to admit that I enjoyed being a training manager better than I enjoy being a training manager supervisor, but I do like the challenge of supervising and when I really think about it I value helping others and being responsible for building a good team. There are personnel issues I’d rather not have to deal with it, but over all I certainly can’t complain. It’s very rewarding work most days. I enjoy watching people develop into a new role.

December 29th is my anniversary! It was a good day for a wedding…and hopefully a good day for a baby!

Half days would be nice. Yes, picking up after two adults, soon to add a child, and 3 animals, yeah, it can get messy really fast!

I’m sure mess creates itself LOL

Isn’t amazing how fast a home can get messy and disorganized? I know I can have a wonderfully clean house one day, have a busy day the next, and it’s total chaos! :-ox
