A Sad Day In A Small Town
This morning I woke to news to hear that lady in our town was killed yesterday. As the morning has moved on, the lady is the Mother of a good friend with whom I went to primary school and High school with. They used to lived just a couple of streets away.
This is sad news for our little town. Lorelle was found in the upstairs bathroom face down in the bath. Her car has been found at the local golf course. I drove past this morning and could the police "working the case" at the golf course. I’m just so sad for Sam. She lost her Mother yesterday. Lorelle was only doing her job. She was showing a house hoping to sell it. The house is only a 15 minute walk from where we live. It’s just like any house in Melton. I can’t began to feel how much sadness the Makin Family are feeling. I saw Lorelle only last week. We smiled at eachother while driving thru the same intersection.
When Matt and I first moved out of my parents house, into Gretel grove, I would go and pay the rent on a Saturday morning and Lorelle would be there and we would have a chat. Like clock work Terry comes in buys flowers for Lorelle from Mums shop once a month. It’s just such a shock.

My Heart goes out to Terry and Sam and the whole Makin Family.

A MELBOURNE real estate agent was strangled and her body left in a house she was trying to sell, police said today.
Media reports have named the woman as Lorelle Makin, 48.
The woman had an appointment to meet a client at the house in Milverton Street, Melton in Melbourne’s outer west at lunchtime yesterday, police said.
Her body was found in a bathroom of the vacant two-storey house about 7.10pm (AEST) yesterday after colleagues at Elders Real Estate reported her missing.
Her car was found at the Melton Golf Course this morning.
Her two children, aged in their 20s, today sent a text message to neighbours thanking them for their support.
"Hi, can you let everyone know in the street that we’re all together and we appreciate their support and we will talk when we are ready," the text message said.
A neighbour said the dead woman was a huge St Kilda Football Club fan who never missed a game and would have been at tonight’s preliminary AFL final against Sydney.
Elders Real Estate office director and valuer Tim Farnan said he could not yet comment on the death of one of his female staff.
"I won’t make any comment because the investigation is ongoing," an emotional Mr Farnan said today.
Staff at the firm’s office today also would not comment.
Meanwhile, residents in the quiet suburban street where the woman’s body was found are in shock.
Sally Yilmaz, who lives opposite with her three daughters, said they now felt very afraid.
Mrs Yilmaz said she arrived home last night not long after the body was found.
"I was scared last night when I came and saw the cops here … my heart was going boom boom," she said.
"We are only four ladies in this house and I am scared now to say hello to someone.
"You can’t trust anyone these days."
Ms Yilmaz believed the house had been on the market for several months.
The dead woman’s car, a blue Holden VT Commodore sedan, was believed to have been discovered by a police patrol.
Police have questioned a man, this morning, but he has been let go and no charges have been made. I just hope that they find who ever did this.
*hug* I’m so sorry for the loss in your community. It’s so sad to hear that something tragic like that has happened…I hope they find the person…
