5 Months Old

Callum was 5 months/(3 months corrected) old yesturday. I feel like his birth was only days ago, I can remember that night and early morning so vividly. Where does the time go too? He is just the happiest little 5 month old. He talks and sings to us all the time.

When I wake up in the morning he is awake looking around and smiling at everything. Then he sees that we are awake and starts to giggle and sing. I love his little noises. I can’t understand them, or what he is saying but I bet it all makes perfect sense to himself. He loves to be in the spotlight of his mum and dad’s eyes, if we start to fall asleep he lets out the biggest “arhgoo” that he can do to wake us up, he wants to play.

He knows who is Mum and who is Dad. He doesn’t like strange people, he pulls his head away into my neck. He gets a bit shy these days.

He is being his own person now. He is such an individual with his own little personality and preferences now. He does look like a little baby now. His face is taking on a new life and he looks like his father. But he has my personality. It’s amazing that this time last year, he was only being created. Made from us both. Before I had Callum I could never understand the love that a Mother has for there child. It doesn’t matter what they do, you will always love them no matter what. It very strong feeling. I don’t think you could ever put it into words.

He is getting better at wanting to grab toys, hair, etc. His coordination is getting better and stronger by the day.My little man, his mind is making leaps and bounds every day. I love to see him learn new things and put them to use. He even has times in the day that he likes to sleep of late I have been reading to him. He loves the pictures and he smiles awat. He is an amazing person. I just love watching him grow, making and working on a new achievement. It’s such a big step in his life, and I get to watch and be there for it.
