Showering the fight
We were all created by the earth in someway or another. Whether you believe it was a spiritual and miraculous formation that created humans, or simply the elusive elements of earth binding together to produce a reproductive offspring, we all transpired from the same creation on mother earth. I thought of this today as the scorching heat came to a halting stop after a four-day heat wave. Tonight, the stormy skies released torrential downpours after iridescent strands of electrifying light impaled the ominous clouds that screened the moon. In this moment my mood changed. At the same time the damper that started between her and I before the storm, seemed to settle in a momentary lull simultaneously with the new moistened earth. I wouldn’t typically allow the weather to change or literally cease the continuation and uneasy flow of a fight, however, tonight it was all too fitting. Literally an hour before the rain while finishing my second margarita, I vocalized the thought of how I believe the weather and humans seem to change in a somewhat identical fashion. The weather, with all it’s quarks, it’s mysteries, it’s ingredients, and it’s forever nourishment and detriment, all derive from mother earth. And where do us humans come from? The same place…
So, am I truly that off in thinking that the earth who creates and produces both the weather as well as humans is largely responsible for our matching behaviors? Our torrential moods? Our flooding emotions? Our scorching passions? It all comes together I believe, and I’ll let tonight’s stormy skies cool my heated temper down after tonight’s fight for tomorrow new beginnings…
i really like the way you write, its very poetic and real heh, that kinda sounds creepy! [[Saw ya on the front]]

sometimes i think, even beyond nature’s grasp, that we humans are part of an even larger chain of connected earthliness. that animals in general, humans in particular, are part of an invisible, bonding knowledge… a shared, innate, and subtle instinct or understanding of reality in total. it would explain why many people seem to go through the same problems around the same time…

…more physically – and more abstractly – for example, it would also be a nice theory to explain why women can time their periods together with moon phases or why we can feel when we’re being watched.
