Blink of an eye

all seems misplaced
how did it get this complicated?

so simple it once was
is now a tangled thorny jumble.

emotions became too real
ugly truths showed their clean faces

if I said I wanted you,
I can only imagine you walking away

so, I wont’ say it,
but here I sit

not waiting to be waiting, 
knowing you won’t answer my unasked questions
