What the F$&!
I went out with Jay again on Saturday, it was nice to know that he isn’t perfect and he was actually late by 20 minutes. Usually it’s the other way around and I’m a half hour late. Same dance different song, I picked him up at the mall (he drives also but once my friend parked her car there and caught someone breaking into it.) I prefer to drive my car and not take that chance. Anyhow as soon as he got in the car he gave me a hug and a kiss on the lips (nothing too involved, anyhow I think it’s best that we take things slow) he asked me for a favor. He requested that if I see the new Jordan’s that came out if I could get them (this is our 4th date, we talk daily though.) I’m thinking I can barely afford my car note then he said that not only did he want the 10’s but also the 3’s the 4’s the 5’s and the 6’s. I don’t think so.
We went to the movies and he paid. I paid for the drinks and popcorn $8.75. Then we went to the Cheesecake Factory, I paid $50 and on top of that I paid $35 in gas. Then he has the nerve to ask me for shoes that he can only wear on the weekends? I don’t think so!!! I have to pay my other bills, I could have easily put that money toward my department store bil of $115. Am I wrong for this? Should my credit suffer and my bills not get paid? I think for once he should come to me, even though I live a half hour away. He has a car which eats up less fuel than a SUV. Next time I say we go someplace else and he can pay. How do I bring that up? How can I word that without sounding like a total shrew?
I definately think that there is someone out there that is best for me. I was watching Joel Osteen yesterday and the message he kept reiterating was that things happen for a reason. Sometimes we don’t get the car or house we want but when God supplies, he really come through, perhaps a bigger home with more square footage for the same price or a car with a fantastic rebate. Why must I date people and meet people that I know God doesn’t want for me? When will it be my turn?
I noticed I was on your favorites =) Hmm, well I only read this and the last entry. Umm, taking it slow is probably best, because rushing just screws things up. Odd that he doesn’t want to drive to you though, and that he wants you to buy some expensive shoes for him. Aren’t men sposed to pay for their own stuff AND for the woman? I could be wrong, but he should at least OFFER, right?
