May-December Relationships

I finally worked up the nerve to talk to him (my crush) when I saw him a few weeks back. As I was standing at the light, I turned around because I felt someone looking at me. I took a few steps back and introduced myself and asked the typical what’s your name, what do you do here, how long have you been here, do you like it here, questions. I noticed he was really extremely shy. I told my friend about him and she told me that he asked her out, but she declined because she is married. I don’t think that a really shy person is the one for me because I’m shy as well and two of us would just be really awkward.

I met Ron casually as I took the elevator at work to the Lobby and went to Startbucks. He called me the next day and asked me if I was okay because he was worried about water contamination that happened.

We e-mailed back and forth for a few days and he finally asked me for my number to which I gave him. We talk all the time and I really do feel comfortable with him. He’s such a great guy. I told my co-worker about him and she told me that he’s older than us. He’s 44!!! Another friend of mine told me about her sister who married an older man and it aged her extremely. I have to seriously wonder if I’m temporary and if he’s going through a mid-life crisis. I’ve seen the grey on his head and in his beard but some people tend to gray prematurely. He has asked me out and wants to take me dancing but I really think I’ll have a difficult time explaining this one to my parents. He could be my dad!!!
