I’ve got a crush on you.

How shallow can I be? I met a wonderful guy, although I was too superficial to notice it at the time. We would go out and have a good time together and all that jazz but then I stopped calling. Why? That’s a good question. Jay and I dated for about a month and a half or so, we took things really slow. He didn’t even kiss me or hold my hands until the third date. On my Birthday he treated me to a nice movie and dinner. Two weeks later when we went out again (he pays for the movies and I pay for the snacks) he was running late because he was looking for a pair of Jordans. When we met up he apologized for being late and asked me to help him locate the Jordans he was looking for and if I happened to see them, to pick them up, however he never indicated any reimbursement plans. Anyhow, we went out to a movie and since we were both hungry, we went to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. I guess since I brought up the dinner idea I had to pay, but he’s the guy and I am old fashioned and I think he should pay.  That’s besides the point. He emailed me on Monday to tell me that he had a good time and tell me good morning, but I ignored his email because I thought it was tacky that we went to dinner and he ordered 2 entrees and a beer and had the audacity to have me pay for the entire portion when my plate only cost $16.99 of a $60 bill.
I saw him a few weeks ago and I must admit that he’s looking pretty good and I wondered why I stopped communication with him over something so stupid. It’s okay to take turns paying because it’s just fair. We both hugged and actually I was going to walk right past him but I didn’t. I told him that I was disappointed because he doesn’t email me anymore and he told me he would, but he never did.
Today I took the initative to email him and I told him that I was sorry that we lost touch and I recall him mentioning that he has a birthday in September and if he is available or would like to make plans, I would like to treat him. Am I wrong for doing this? What if he has a girlfriend and I’ve totally screwed up? I have been thinking about him a lot lately and I really miss him.
He also gives the greatest foot masssage in the movies.
