Getting Nowhere

This past weekend really sucked. I want to buy a car but when you have no credit, it’s really difficult to do. I’ve come into the bad habit of purchasing cars (new or slightly used) whenever mine has a problem. The first problem came right before Christmas. My dad took it to a mechanic and the mechanic found nothing wrong. My brother is used to driving his bucket of an 89 Jetta and kept telling me to put the car in neutral and rev the motor. I was so scared because I was at least an hour from home, well we made it home just fine that night. A few weeks ago on my way home from work, I was turning left and my car almost stopped mid-turn. I felt the wheel tighten and I just enough time to pull over before the car stopped. My heart was racing and I was so scared. I put the car in neutral and began to rev the engine for almost 5 minutes, and miracoulsly I made it home. Whew!!!

On Saturday I had to warm up the car for 10 minutes before it wanted to do anything. I was terrified of taking it on the freeway, but somehow it made it. The dealership wanted to appraise the car and I was hoping that it would start and run for them, which it did. The stupid dealership wanted to put me in a Toyota, not that there’s anything wrong with that, but I’m so used to my SUV. I guess I shouldn’t be too picky, at least it was a new Toyota Corolla, but then they wanted to charge me over $600 a month. that’s almost double what I pay now!!!

I am going to keep my Jeep and maintain it, starting with taking it to get a tune up (since it hasn’t had one since I got it 2 years ago.) My driver side window also doesn’t roll down, so that should be looked at. Do you know how hard it is going through a drive thru with a broken window? Not fun at all, hopefully Cherry (my jeep) will be okay.
