Day 7 All day edition

The day started normal fixed breakfast

Chance: never had crunchy bacon with black on it, it’s not that good and toast is supposed to be brown.

Me: just eat

Decided we would shotgun hay put Chance on the JD 7410  and me on the JD 8420 and went to work. He had a blast I think at least he smiled when I said you take a tractor and I will take one. We finished an hour sooner than I planned. Chance did so well. After we finished

Chance: Can I have a friend and no, it’s not Casey before you start

Me: did I say anything

Chance: can I

Me: who

Chance: Mark (his best friend since we moved here)

Me: what are you going to do

Chance: Maybe fish and ride the 4 wheelers maybe

Me: that’s fine and maybe 4 wheelers maybe

Mark got here and to the pond, they went till time for Mark to leave.

Dinner went ok, we grilled hamburgers hard to mess that up. Did get a win Chance said dad your sweet tea is better than Mom. After dinner Chance helped me feed the horses. I ask him if he was doing ok

Chance: if you stop asking me that.

Me: it’s my job to worry about you

Chance: I don’t need anything I’m good stop I don’t need to talk I don’t know why mom left. I don’t need a shoe I don’t need a boot she took it for a reason. I don’t need a mom. I just need to not be asked about it by everyone. I have a new life I don’t know why I do, but I do I liked my old life. So please just stop

He walked to the house. I gave him a few minutes and I went in he said I can be mad and be glad you’re here at the same time just so you know. You could tell he had been crying and said dad, can we just watch a movie no talking just a movie.
