How to slice a lemon

1. Before you slice the lemon in two hold it between your palms and squeeze, as gentle or as hard as you think the lemon desires to be squeezed. This releases the juices within, and once the lemon is parted in two it’s just bursting with fluids, the liberated fruit gushing out uncontrollably. Squeeze it again and hold your palm underneath the lemon to catch the seeds as they rush out, and in order to let its invigorating juice run between your fingers, the vital insides of the lemon feeding and refreshing your skin. While wet, dip your index and third fingers into the fruit, running them round and round along the inner edges, close to the skin, and apply gentle but firm pressure soliciting the last stubborn drops from their unyielding hold until the juices have been all but gleaned. Bring your fingers to your lips and taste the acidic sweetness of pure sunshine.

2. Repeat the process

Awesome. You definitely should be proud. I’m probably the first noter again. 😀

That is rather comforting. I just wish I could get over it. *shrug*
