Grassland

She walks in the square and unleashes her top

both her mighty ivory towers are visible to any man

they rise and they rise and they don’t ever stop

from her delicious toes up to the middle of her thighs where her skirt began

I wanted to ask but I was too polite

She saw me embarrassed and she laughed and said

‘If you really like em they may be yours tonight’

by her giggle I guessed I must have turned red.

‘they’re Syria and Egypt, they’re always together

now that they’re yours what will you do with them sir? ‘

I squeezed them with one hand and then with the other

‘I think I’ll surround them’ I whispered to her

She rotates herself to face my true favors

she reaches in, hands steady as a clock

As magnificent mountains shift and shape all around me

Velvet lips close in on solid rock
