up too early

A. called way early (for someone who doesn’t have to get up to go to work) to tell me plumbers are coming this afternoon. Rather than go back to sleep, I rolled over and picked up a book I started reading yesterday, the Fourth Bear, by Jasper Fforde. I don’t know how it got in the house. Did I buy it, randomly picking it off a bookstore shelf as I sometimes do? Was it a Christmas present? Whatever, it’s hysterical. It’s a mystery, involving a cop, Jack Spratt, from the NCD (Nursery Crime Division). He is looking for a giant psychopath named Gingerbreadman, who rips the arms off humans.

So what else is new? My little tutoring business is still alive. I adore the kids. A. and I are planning a bulk mailing (Chico’s idea) to spread the word about my existence. It scares me, sounds so….public….but if I want to make a living at this it seems I must do such things. My sister has created a lovely web site for me and we’ve updated my brochure to mail.
