I’m not a zombie!!

 I’m back home and I’m not dead, so that’s a good thing!  The surgery was a success and they say I should make a full recovery. They said it was a huge mess in there and no wonder I was in so much pain, well duh!  They took out two huge cysts covering both my ovaries, they took out most of my two ovaries as they said they couldn’t take it all out because it was stuck too the wall too much, whatever that means,  and they took out my uterus, so as my ex says, I was spayed, he thot it was funny..hmm wonder why we broke up.  I haven’t been in too much pain, just very hard to move around, and get comfy, I was bloated with gas earlier but I finally pooped on my own today and that was a huge relief.  I have over 60 staples, can’t remember how many they told me, going from my belly button down to my pelvic.

I have pain killers and iron pills and stool softners, my blood is low so they want me to take the iron pills for a month, surprisingly they didnt give me any antibiotics for home.  I have an appt to get the staples out on the 20th by my family doctor, so can’t wait for that. I have to see my surgeon in 4 weeks for a followup and discuss hormone therapy, hopefully I don’t grow a real mustache by then.

Other then being uncomfortable and a little sore and having swollen feet, not sure why that is, I’m doing fine, oh I guess I need to call my urologist to make arrangements to get the stent out, but will do that in january sometime, don’t feel like going into the hospital so soon yet.

Mike is the sweetest, he called me everyday, he got his student teacher to teach his class so he could go into the meeting room to talk to me, he posted on my fb to let everyone know I was doing ok, and he sent me such pretty flowers, I’ll post a pic of them later as I’m too lazy to download them from my phone right now. He made my stay in the hospital bareable, he talked to me when I was up in the middle of the night, unable to sleep, he called me everyday, cheered me up…just wish he was closer.

My ex husband was really sweet too, he got up in the middle of the night to drive me, stayed with me til I was in my room and waited for the doctor to come up and explain what they did, he came down again on Wednesday, and today when they discharged me and basically kicked me out of my room when they knew I needed to know the night before if i was being discharged, which they didn’t, it was like, ok you are discharged, get out, and I had to wait in the patient lounge,, but my ex took off work early and came and got me so I wouldn’t have to wait so long.  He got my meds filled out, got me some dinner, helped jaime shovel the driveway because we got over a foot of snow this week.  He still has his nice sweet side and I couldn’t do this without him, maybe I’ll start  being a little nicer to him lol

Jaime is at work right now, and I’m just relaxing on the couch, with copper laying at my feet, moosey was happy to see me too, and nik was meowing when I came home and I petted him. I can’t wait to see jaime, I miss her, she should be home in about 40 minutes.
