October Sunday..
A normal Sunday night. I’m watching a documentary about whales. Frank is dozing in the other couch, computer still in his lap. A wonder he never drops it. The boys melted into sleep quickly after a whole evening and a day spent outside.
We took the boys to the local wildlife park for the "Wildlife Scary Park" Halloween party. A spooky train ride, costumes. some stilted trick or treating, music, lights, laughably funny decorations. My brother, his wife, his teenage daughter and his five year old son join us. The night was crispy cold but we all had fun. Boys were exhausted unto whiny tears by 8 pm. We peeled them out of costumes, poured them into pajamas and they tumbled like little stones into down into slumber.
We were back up early today and after coffee, cocoa, and cinnamon rolls, we were off to the pumpkin patch. Met some of our friends whose son is our Q’s best mate. We spent most of the day out in the chilly but golden sunlight, playing, chatting, taking pictures. I thought the boys would be comatose on the way home but they stayed awake and even played irritably for a few hours once we got home. We ordered pasta from a pizza place and ate very late.
I feel sleep pulling at my shoulders.
