Rumbly Tummy

I think it’s sad how often I checked back on my last entry to see if I got notes.  Just lurking around and hitting the "random" button a lot, leaving notes in my wake.  I really, truly, am a note whore.  I fucking love them!  YAY notes!

It hasn’t quite sunk in yet that I’m going to be living in an amazing house (the amazing house) for quite a while.  It’s going to be so lovely.  Being able to cook.  Being able to bake.  Having hot water.  Large rooms.  An oven.  (A convection oven.)

I checked OD on my computer at work today and found that the font/background combination on my page is incredibly difficult to read on that computer.  Does anyone else have a hard time with this?  I’m one of those people who shuns diaries that are really hard to read, and I fear that I may be a hypocrite in that respect!  Oh no!

Work still amazes me, quite often.  I though I was getting bored with it and then BAM, a whole new exciting thing!  Hours of future playing to come!  This bond-order readout discovery is almost as exciting as the dancing molecules discovery.  I should figure out how to make a video of things happening on my computer and show you guys the dancing molecules.  It’s really, really exciting.  I’m sure there’s some great ap for linux that let’s you do that really easily.  I’ll go hunting when I have some free time.

Speaking of which.  I have NO free time this week.  I think it’s because I procrastinated working over the weekend.  (Actually, it is because I procrastinated working over the weekend.)  To my credit, a fair amount of projects were/are due in class this week, so it’s not entirely my fault.  But Booo anyway.  I like my free time.  *pout*  I’m really really looking forward to the summer.  I definitely need a break from this excessive class load.  The good news:  after this semester, I’ll only have one year left.  GASP!  Only one year!  Holy cow!  I’m almost finished.

Bryan and I got in a minor argument today.  It’s one of our first arguments ever, so I was actually fairly surprised.  It was really dumb, too.  (Over a stapler and related issues).  I think we’re just both pretty stressed with the increased work-load (it does go up toward the end of the semester) and the bug that I suspect we’re both fighting.  I really hope that I don’t get sick between now and the end of the semester.  That would suck big time.  *crosses fingers*  But back to the main paragraph– I won’t get a chance to see Bryan for the rest of the day (SUPER BUSY), so I sent him an apology e-mail.  I hope that doesn’t come off as too weird.  :S  We were mostly better by the end of the (30-second) argument, so the e-mail wasn’t even all that necessary, but I felt the need to really apologize in a long-winded essay sort of way.

Fun discovery today!  I was a bit early to class (PChem discussion), and was waiting for the class prior to ours to let out, so that I may enter the room.  It turns out that Bryan is in that class!  I think it’s hilarious that we never knew that we used that room consecutively before.  I’m just never early to class on Tuesdays, I guess.  (It does work out that that only happens on Tuesdays, but still… an entire semester?)  His class was also running a bit late today, so perhaps that helped.  Whatever, really.  It’s just amusing.

Seeing him at the beginning of my day really brightened it up.  🙂

I have a serious lack of food.  This is entirely my fault, as I was feeling too lazy to drop by the grocery store on my way home from the library on Friday, but it’s still a problem.  I have in my room, to eat… peanut butter.  And apple jelly (which is really bad).  No bread.  No poptarts.  No cheerios.  No soup.  No nothin’.  So I’ll have to figure out something to eat tonight.  I’ve used a bit too many meals in my meal plan, and if I want to eat at all tomorrow, I’ll have to skip dinner tonight.  I wish I had time to go to the store after class, but I have so many things due tomorrow that I don’t think I’ll make it.  Actually, maybe I could fit that into my schedule…  Hmm.  I’ll think about it during class.

I am feeling utterly non-creative with my entry title today.

Bryan made almond truffles at his parents’ house last night.  They are super-good.  (Well, I’ve definitely had better, but they are super good for his first try, and very very tasty as far as food in general goes.)  I might actually stop over at his room after shopping to get another one.  And a hug.  And to say sorry again.  (The argument was pretty much me-driven, which is why I feel so particularly bad about it.)  Aaaaanyway, I should probably stop feeling so guilty about a teeny fight.  I’m sure Bryan forgives me, so it’s just my job to go and forgive myself.  And maybe get another truffle while I’m at it.

Random Addie trivia:  Did you know that I name all of my computer devices after desserts?  It’s true!  A complete list:
My computer: Chocolate Mousse
My external HD: Creme Brulee
My flash drive: Pasteis (a small Portuguese dessert)
My virtual windows machine: Lemon Merengue
My camera: Raspberry Souffle

I think it’s fun to have a theme with these sorts of things.  I know Marley names his iPods (he has multiple, it’s kind of gross) after famous ancient libraries.  The only one I can remember is Alexandria, but there are two others.  And that’s just neat.

I hope everyone’s having a good day!  Tootles!

Ooh, I was supposed to say this yesterday, but was interrupted by snoopy boyfriend leering at the screen. 😛 Anyway – YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY FOR HOUSE! It’s absolutely gorgeous, nice one! How long will you be living there? A year or more? So weird, that sounds a lot like our mini-argument last night. It’s always the completely useless arguments that are most annoying, I think. Knowing it was pointless..

just makes it feel worse. And I say – fit some food into your schedule, fool! If you’ve got loads of things to do then you’d better stock up a bit, working on an empty tummy is NOT a good idea! Good luck getting through all the busyness!

The combo does try my patience.

I think eventually OD turns everyone into note whores 😉 it is a bit difficult to read, but I love your background nonetheless. It’s not bad though, your bkgd doesn’t over power at all. Maybe if the font was different? Bold? *shrug*

you chemists are somethin’ else. i wish i had it in me.. & your diary isn’t hard to read, at least for me on a mac? ah, stapler arguments. goood times. my boyfriend & i have argued over bagels, which is equally if not more ridiculous.

lol, you guys fought over a stapler…

April 2, 2009

Your background is fine with me 🙂 Don’t worry about the fight, it just sounded like a little tiff. And I name all of my objects after mens names, i.e. Jonathan, Charlie, etc. 🙂

Oh and food is important 🙂 Get some!

Came in via random, but yeah, this entry is really tough on the eyes.

I love the dessert items/naming things on a theme. I need to think of a way to do that…hmm…

I’m a note whore too. It’s embarrassing. Oh, and you have to watch out for those staplers. They’re known to attack when you’re not looking and next thing you know you’ve ripped someone else’s eyebrows off.

Hope you got some food. If not can’t you order in sometimes?
