Internet

I don’t know how much time I have to write this…

We’ve moved into the house, mostly.  I’m the only one with furniture currently.  The house is really really fucking fantastic.  But we don’t have internet.  I’m at our library right now, using the free wireless, but we may leave as soon as Bryan’s computer troubles are fixed.  Computer troubles meaning we’re not sure how to configure the driver that will allow him to do packet injection, which is just a fancy way of saying that we want to hack our neighbor’s poorly encrypted wireless.

I am strongly reminded of this comic:

So, anyway, life is good.  There was a lot of drama with John upon moving in (he was really unhappy about the room assignments… yadda yadda yadda)  So we’re hoping that this whole housing situation will work out.  John was really unpleasant, and everyone involved was super-unhappy.  If he keeps this up, the rest of us have worked out that we will ask him to leave the house.  I don’t think that will happen, but it was really really upsetting that it happened.

HEY!  Bryan’s computer’s driver is working now.  We’re gonna run a practice hack on a nearby wireless network, and then we’ll probably head out.

There has been so. much. shopping. lately.  We’ve run many-a-trip to the store, stocking up on spices, flour, sugar, and all of that good stuff.  I keep thinking that we’re mostly stocked, but then I remember something else that we need.  The important thing is that we have all of the materials to make cupcakes.  As soon as my cold lets me use my brain again, I’ll do that.  Maybe tonight, even.  I have been feeling a lot better lately.  A LOT.

We sure do make a sight.  Four college kids, three identical computers (Bryan, Bobby, and I all have the same computer; John didn’t bring his), all of us talking extreme geek.  I’m sure it’s hilarious to watch.

Our house is SO dusty.  It’s driving me nuts.  I’ve been dusting EVERYTHING, but there’s still more to do.  Our floor is so dusty, Bobby easily wrote "mop me" on the floor.  I swear, if we can’t get a mop soon (or at least a broom), I’m going to blow a fuse.  Bobby made a bunch of jokes about making dust angels.  The gross thing is that you actually could.  The good news is that the majority of the surfaces in my bedroom are now REALLY clean.  I just need to clean the rest of the house now.

My brain isn’t working as well as I thought it is.  I’ve had a bunch of exciting things happen to me lately, but I find myself unable to write about them– I can’t remember a lot of the details, and my typing skills are highly sub-par.  As are my grammar skills.  And general writing skills.

Oh, it looks like we’re leaving anyway.
Tootles!

Ew, dust. Oh well, sounds like you’re really enjoying the house. Room stuff tends to sort itself out, don’t worry! It will all be fine. 🙂
