I have a cubicle!!
Yes, it’s true: not only do I have a cubicle, but I am fucking excited about it! Having a cubicle means having a job. I have a job.
Yes, it’s true, ladies and gentleman, I HAVE A JOB! This is terribly exciting. It’s not just any old job. It’s a research job. I’m going to be doing research. On a team. With graduate students.
I finally got up the gall to talk to my PChem professor from last semester. I sent an e-mail saying basically "Hey, I’m still here, when are you available for me to come bug you?" Except it was formal. I promise. And I stopped by today, and we talked for a while, and then he gave me a cubicle. It is mine to decorate! Buahahaha!!
I was largely underwhelmed with the inauguration today. It was the first time I’ve ever seen one (I’ve always been in school/didn’t largely care to see Bush sworn in to office), and it was pretty boring. Also, Obama can’t repeat back words very well. And his speech was not nearly as eloquent as others in the past. But he didn’t get shot, which is a very, very good thing.
And I have a cubicle!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m going to go make flashcards of amino acids now. Tootles!
It was Justice Roberts who messed up the oath… Everything about the inauguration was completely scripted, and Roberts mixed up the wording. Technically, Obama was supposed to repeat what Roberts said, but he got thrown by the mix-up.

Yay for cubicle and Obama not being assasinated!
