A good day.

So I started my volunteering placement yesterday!

The nurses may have been cranky as per usual.

But the majority of the patients were quite lovely 🙂

Wish I could write more but it’s all confidential! I

Still get that nerdy feeling in me when I see all

The doctor residents flocking around the units <3

Well … maybe more so the male residents haha.

At lunch we met with a ob/gyn to discuss his career.

He looks like one of those doctors on the tele.

Young, handsome, and well, bright of course!

I met a nice boy who volunteers in my unit and

Actually lives in my neighbourhood! I thoroughly

Approved of him in personality and ambitions 😉

He’s not hot per say, but decent looking to me.

I can’t believe he’s only a year older than me, and

Thus I was in high school with him for 3 years,

And I couldn’t remember him at all! >_< Epic fail.

Haha it’s sort of creepy because we write notes

On all of our patients in this log book so that

Other volunteers can get good tips for interaction.

Only it feels weird knowing he read mine and

I read his! Since mine has like personal info of

What I had in common with the patients … so

When he introduced himself … I was like … How

Does he know this about me? Do I know him and

Can’t remember? Oh crap, what is his name? Lol.

Just one more week and I should have my marks!

I can’t wait to see my GPA (PLEASE BE GOODDD).

Uhm I phoned another organization to see if I could

Volunteer with them … it has nothing to do with health

Care per say, but instead to do with immigrant youth.

I need more ‘leadership’ opportunities apart from

My work so I think this would be appropriate and in

The school year I can then be a mentor for Latinos.

This MIGHT be like being a mentor for kids 13-24.

Plus … I think I’m a good Canadian citizen and

Fulfill our ”national” values pretty darn well. It

Might be awk to volunteer with youth … that’s the one

Group I’ve never volunteered with because I feel

They are too close to me in age so I can’t quite

Feel as in control? Lol, that’s a bad explanation!

So if I get it, it’ll be good practice to deal with

People my age in a non-friend relationship! 😀

Uhm anyways I had a great week last week,

It felt so good to have my social life back again! 🙂

Anyways I have some house chores to do …

And I need to be in bed semi-early-ish tonight.
