I can’t wait for this movie!!!

I loved the book and was excited to hear about the movie.  All though I would never have cast Tom Hanks as Langdon, the rest of the casting is brilliant and exactly how I pictured the characters.  If it were me, I would have cast Ralph Finnes as Langdon and made him work on an American accent.  Langdon in the book is described as Harrison Ford type in his 40s.  I love Hanks and think he’s an amazing actor, but he’s not Harrison Ford nor does he look like he’s in his 40s.

Not much else to write about really!  Life’s been busy, but good.  I have a lot of catching up to do on all my faves’ diaries.  I’m off to do that now.

Yeah I have been waiting for the movie too since I read the Da Vinci Code. Just also wanted to let you know I am back online.

I thought Crash was funny because it was so overbearingly one-minded and preachy. So desperate to be “gritty” and “poignant.” I mean, we live in the deep south, and i’ve never seen racial nitpicking and fooferah like what was portrayed in that movie, have you?

this is going to be such a good movie…and i totally forgot they actually compared Landgon to Harrison Ford..when i realized that Tom Hanks was to play him, i kept thinking he wasn’t quite right, but couldn’t think of someone better….but it was right in front of me the whole time. But if they did pick Ford, it would’ve been the same sort of theme from the Indiana Jones movies. Anyway, —

I hope the movie does actually come out as planned, i’ve heard lots of groups are trying to stop it, postpone it and/or boycott it. I’ll be PISSED. 🙂 But i’m fairly sure it will come out, i just want it on time. haha… anyway, thanks for the notes….it’s a sticky situation…and i think Monty is getting more and more aware of the impending doom….and it’s creating a wedge between us. i feel

like it’s my fault and i’m gonna be “that bitch” in his life that messed him up…and he’s really not the guy that deserves to be screwed over like that. we’ll see… —

RYN: I think this cast is magnificent. I was actually thinking of a few of them when I was reading the book. While Hanks isn’t perfect, he’s a big name and will draw a lot of people to what is a great story. Had I been casting the film, I think Pierce Brosnan would have been a good call for the forty-ish, rugged type. Later,

As far as i can tell, Bangalee was unrelated to India. It was the name of the main character, who was a fuzzy little horned kritter who teaches the other kritters to rezpec’ the environment…
