This has been my week….

-Monday- I was too tired to clean and Dave didn’t come home until 8pm.

-Tuesday- I went to make hotdogs and so I turned the burner on. My crockpot was sitting on the burner behind the one I turned on, but it’s a large crockpot and the front of it caught the edge of the flame. Needless to say the buttons on the front were melted and my crockpot met the trashcan. Dave doesn’t come home from work until 10pm.

-Wednesday- Keira was being fiesty and didn’t want her diaper changed. In attempt to do it fast I pulled the diaper off quickly without realizing she pooped. So a nice big piece of poop falls out and lands on my comforter, leaving it a big smelly mess. Dave was going to bring me home lunch from my favorite restaurant, but that falls through, then he doesn’t come home until 8pm. We all go upstairs to go to bed. Dave starts complaining that Keira got his glasses all dirty so I jump out of bed to go to the bathroom to get him a tissue and BAM! I slam my nose into the bathroom door. I didn’t have the hall light on and didn’t realize it was shut (so Keira doesn’t get into anything). I start to cry because I feel like an idiot and my nose really hurt.

Today’s Thursday and Keira has already managed to pee on my freshly washed comforted and on my sheets. I went to change her diaper and right as I took it off, she peed. So now I’m washing everything ALL OVER AGAIN.

Keira has actually been doing pretty well with potty training, minus these two incidents I mentioned. She’s been pooping and peeing on the potty on a regular basis, but she still doesn’t always tell me when she has to go. I really don’t expect her to tell me all the time, so I’ll put her on there during the day and most of the time she’ll go. We’re making progress, but this week has just been nuts. With Dave coming home so late from work because he’s been having to drive to Pittsburgh, I feel like I’m stuck. I’m really think Keira’s birthday party will make going through this whole week worth it. I can’t wait to see her face whem she opens her presents and gets to blow out her candles. She’s going to have a blast because a few kids will be here too. Time for me to go and get my daughter something to eat.

Potty training. I dread every second of it! It’s going to be disasterous for a while. I am not even sure I know how to potty train a boy. Hah. I’ve added your name to my new diary, was just checking in on this one. 😉
