So does anyone want to know?

Dave was offered the job!!!!   As soon as he gets his CPA hours confirmed by the state board (one of his previous employers sent a paper in wrong and they’re super anal about it! ), he’s going to sign papers and we’ll plan to be in Canada by the middle of May. We’re thinking we’ll have to push it back till then because Dave wants to be here while they’re still processing his papers.  I’m excited, but a bit sad too. Leaving my family is going to be hard for me, but I know this is going to be a good move for us.

Saturday I went out with my friend DB to see the same band we saw a few weeks ago. My mom stayed at my house and watched the baby. It was a lot of fun. We danced the night away. lol  I, however, drank too much. I stayed at my parents’ house that night because it’s only two minutes away from where the band was playing, and at seven o’clock that morning (I got in at 2:30), I was puking my brains out. Yager is NOT my friend.  I normally never do shots, but this guy said he’d buy me one so me and DB did a few. Oyyy BIG mistake. I’ve now realized I’m not the drinker I thought I was. I can handle beer, but NOT shots.   I was sick that morning and then by the afternoon I felt ok, but just really tired. I drove back to my house and took and a shower and then my mom, Keira and I went to go get Dave. His flight was on time and we drove back to the house so he could take a quick shower before we went to my Aunt’s. When we got to my Aunt’s, it was awkward. As soon as we sat down to eat my grandma walked out of the room obviously looking like she was going to cry. No one really asked Dave about the trip because I’m sure they didn’t want to know he got the job. I still felt like crap and everyone kept asking me why I was so quiet. I think they wanted to hear "It’s because I’m sad I’m moving.".  We left about 8:30 and when we got home I threw up the food I ate at my Aunt’s. And then the rest of the night and into the morning I couldn’t hold anything down. My dad had a stomach bug on Friday when he went with me to the airport and I think I could of picked that up from him. I’m sure it was drinking too much too, but having a stomach bug could of just made it worse. Dave stayed home with me Monday and yesterday so he could chase Keira around and I could rest. I still feel exhausted, but I’m not throwing up, so that’s a plus.

Dave’s going to see if his current employer will give him next week to work too and if not, he’s going to file for unemployment until we leave. We don’t want to have to do it this way, but if we have to be here longer then expected, we need money for food and bills. We know we’ll be out of here by the end of May, and we’re going to try and make it sooner then that. This weekend I think we’re going to rent a garbage bin and toss everything out that we don’t want to take with us. Anyone need dressers?  We have so many and I think we’re going to get rid of most of them, if not all. I was thinking of having a house sale for the things we’re not taking with us, but I don’t know if it’d even be worth it. The tile guy is coming today to finish grouting the tiles he laid down and that’ll be one more thing to scratch off our list. Ok I need to go let Sadie outside before her bladder bursts.

list all the big stuff you don’t want on Freecycle. You’ll get rid of it that way, or if you want cash for it, list it on craigslist. 🙂
