I’m back!

I know I have been neglecting my diary lately, but I’m going to try and starting writing in it again. Trying to think what’s been going on since I last wrote in here is hard since it’s been so long!  Well Christmas was really nice and low key and I enjoyed having Dave home for almost 2 weeks. Keira got a lot of nice toys and clothes so she had a blast opening everything. December 27th we decided to get rid of our junkie car and leased a 2008 honda accord, which I LOVE!  So nice to have a car I can depend on. We still have the landcruiser, but it’s going to need some work. We plan to just fix it up and keep for as long as we can so we don’t have to have another car payment for a while.

Last Friday a few of the girls I hang out with and I had a girls’ night out. It was so nice to be able to go out and have a kidfree night with some really nice ladies I’ve met here. The one girl is expecting her third baby any day now and she wanted to get out one last time before this one arrives. I’m so excited for her. It makes me want another baby SO bad! lol 

I’ve been feeling a bit down lately missing my family and  friends back in Ohio, but a friend of mine, from here, called me yesterday and let me whine it out for a bit. I was so happy to hear from her because I hadn’t talked to her in forever. She just called to see how I was doing and said she wanted to get together sometime soon. It’s really nice to have people you know actually care about you and enjoy your company as much as you enjoy theirs.

Dave’s work hasn’t been terribly busy lately so he’s been actually coming home on time which is awesome. February isn’t going to be too bad, but march and april will be crazy because of tax season.

Other then that nothing else has been going on really. My mother in law is going to Winnipeg tomorrow for a week to visit her parents, so Dave and I will have the house to ourselves!   Even though it’s so cold in Winnipeg right now I actually really wish I was going too. Just been having a bit of cabin fever and I just want to go somewhere-ANYWHERE!  Ah well once summer time comes Dave has promised we’ll be taking little road trips as much as we can and hopefully once I get my resident card I’ll be able to go home for a visit. I’m really missing my friend DB like CRAZY.
